Thanks a bunch, Emma.
My favorite threads are about fruit (I think I'm in love with Alan LOL) and this thread about wanting a sports model body. I feel so much better knowing that energy balance is more important for body composition then "eating clean".
Thank you, Emma Leigh, Alan Aragon, Kim, Karla

I like fatsecret.com. It'll let you enter meals & exercise activity...will give you your fat/carb/protein intake (among other options you can personalize). You can set your daily intake and it'll show you where you're at w/ each food you enter. The database is huge to select from, and you can add anything you want by entering the nutritional facts off the label. There are also forums a journal feature and forums too. I found it a handy tool!

Agreed. I just read the first couple of pages of that thread and it made me so frustrated I had to stop. Lol. It reminds me of all the girls I work with. They are slightly (maybe 15-20 lbs?) overweight and can't figure out what's wrong, claiming to eat 1500 calories a day and take the local "Body Pump" class religiously.
They eat six times a day and drink protein smoothies and slave away in cardio class and can't figure out what's going on in the world. Aren't they stoking their metabolic fires and cutting 500 calories a day?
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with those treats and sodas and cheats figured in. They might seem small, but that smoothie (made of fruit, no less, which must be great for you no matter how much sugar is added to it!) that you estimated at 200 calories is probably more like 1000, you're only getting about 80g of protein a day, and your "Body Pump" class uses 2.5lb weights for bicep curls.
But please, continue to lecture me about how I shouldn't be lifting heavy weights. I will surely become bulky and man-like in no time if I don't learn to lose the squat rack and take up a permanent treadmill spot.If you aren't willing to work for it, you probably don't deserve it. Victory is paid for in sweat, courage, and preparation, and if you aren't ready to lead or follow you had better be ready to get the hell out of the way.
