one of my goals in life is to learn how to play golf. effing tough and frustrating sport
i figure if i go to a driving range more and properly learn how to drive with direction and all, that would be a good start? i know how to use proper form on the drive, but thats about it***Gender Non-Committed***

I'll probably play next week, when I'm on Spring Break. My little bro is a 7 now, so I'm probably gonna get worked. I'm hoping I get a chance to go to the Masters again this year.Last edited by pedobearu_aware; 03-02-2010 at 05:17 PM.

My dad's been the pro at the best public golf course in NE Wisconsin for 20 years. Has the biggest Men's club in all of Wisconsin. It's a county owned course, so he's pretty much an independent contract, and the website blows ass as well because it's county owned. Funding is obviously lacking too because it's the only thing in the county that makes money.

I haven't played seriously in a couple years, but I've been playing since I could walk, so I picked up the sticks last year for the first time in over a year and shot a 75 up in the UP @ a 6900 yard course.
Sold all of my sticks the last couple years except my putter lol. I use my brothers **** or just take stuff from the pro shop when I want to play.
Scotty Cameron Futura Phantom Mallet 2, straight & center shafted.
edit: Course had the same terrible douchebag Superintendent for like 20 years. He took horrible care of the course and sucked up to the county board, making cuts all the time instead of improving the condition of the course. New Superintendent last year making some awesome progress. Pictures are ****ty on the website, it's a beautiful course.Last edited by ATownDRock; 03-02-2010 at 05:43 PM.

I only play once or twice a year. I'd like to become at least profficient in the sport so it can become a social outing for me.

Hola
When I first started playing my uncle crafted an entire set of clubs for me, still use them to this day.Never criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

i started playing last march thru august. played my first round this year a week ago (went to range 3 or 4 times beforehand), shot a 92, with 40 putts. hit 5 GIR, put one 6-8 feet from the cup on a par 3. (yes bad stats, but I'm proud of em hahaha)
I'm hoping to play a lot this sumemr
and to other beginners, what helped/helps me is watch Shawn Clement's videos on youtube. good stuff.Last edited by Kevintensity; 03-02-2010 at 08:07 PM.

Can't wait to play this summer. Too bad I can't start until a month into the season in June since I'm doing a student exchange in Denmark. That's really bad since the golfseason in Iceland isn't that long
I'm 18 in handicap and the plan is to get to around 10 this summer. By improving my shortgame especially and of course everything else as well.
In the bag.
Taylor Made R7 irons
Taylor Made 3 hybrid/rescue
Titleist 60? wedge
Ping Zing putter
Nike Sumo SQ (the square headed)Last edited by Kiddi; 03-03-2010 at 12:18 AM.
