thats a weak modern PW i got mine 1 degree less to 48* and my 5 iron is 28* also.... most clubs now a days have far stronger loft...

yeah but ive got used to it. I actually love my long irons...so forgiving! u dont score with 4 & 5 iron so I prefer forgiveness

glad I can help! I'm definately getting a whole lot better. I've only been playing for about 9 months. Trying to play once a month and this year has been better than that so far. Going for my 3rd time in a week tomorrow. I have really gotten fond of the game and I hope that it's a hobby I'll stick to, unlike the 400 other ones that last about a year or two.


On a side note, When swinging driver, should my weight be balanced between my feet, or more so on my left rather than right food?

you should start with 40%left 60% right at the top of back swing it should be 85% right foot and after impact it should be 95% left

Thanks! I'll give that a shot tomorrow. I think I've been leaving too much weight on my right foot after impact and was doing a little reading. I appreciate it.

Yes with a crap ton of spin too..

Full swing with normal swing is 100ish yards

3/4 swing with a check up is 75-80 yards

What's your swing speed? I can't get my pitching wedge much past 100 yard without a forward lean.

the average pga tour pro delofts their 60° to 50°. good wedge players know how to trap the ball and hence why I can hit my 58° 125 when I swing hard.

Who here has worked at a golf course? I want a summer job soon and could use some help. I worked at one for over a year a couple years ago. Do you guys think it would be worth it to ask one of the golf pros from my golf course to write a referal for me or something? whats the best route to do this? since i moved of course...

because every pro has shaft lean, which basically means they effectively deloft the club. its proper technique to hit your wedges. watch phil hit a wedge shot in slow motion.

You can really get 80+ yards out of a 60 degree wedge?

I can get about 80 yards with a 60 degree but no matter how much harder I swing it it goes about that distance just higher and drops harder. My sand wedge is about 100 yards and gap wedge at 115.

These were my distances last season, I haven't played yet this season to see how the distances are holding up. I'm sure my short game is crap on distance control.

Anybody know where to get some quality golf shoes for cheap? I went to a Golf shop and the cheapest shoes were like $80.

Tired of slipping on some swings. But at the same time I don't want to spend much. Golf is so expensive
