Advocare Spark Alternative???

Not here to debate the Advocare business model. My girlfriend has been a longtime lover of the Advocare Spark drink for an afternoon pick me up. They've recently changed their formula and its more expensive and less effective. Does anyone know of a good alternative?

What are you looking for in a PWO? Energy, pump, focus? Most PWO's specialize in one of those areas.

Also, what's your caffeine tolerance like? High, moderate, or low stim tolerance?

Not for me personally. But she generally uses it as like an afternoon pick me up. Not a PWO. I'd say moderate caffeine tolerance. She doesn't take a ton of PWO, a little here and there, coffee drinker but not everyday.

Sounds like you need something low stim and just mostly caffeine, just go for Amino Energy, tastes good to most girls love it.

Mmm.... idk about that. Spark looks to be more of a nootropic/stim product.

Taurine, L-tyrosine, choline, caffeine, GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). Granted I'm sure every single one of them is poorly dosed.

Could go with Blue Star Elevate and a Caffeine pill if you want to stick to the nootropics. Otherwise, as much as I hate to suggest anything BPI, she'd probably like 1MR Vortex at one scoop.

BANG has quite the kick for most at 300mg caffeine. Spark is typically dosed around 125mg of caffeine, or at least the old one was I think.

Well spark is just a pre-workout as I understand it.

The New ErgoBlast is killer for energy though it also includes some ingredients specifically geared at pre-workout performance

When I asked AdvoCare about this, here is the official reply:

The canisters and boxes still have the same serving size, and we still recommend mixing it with 8 oz of water. The smaller packaging is due to the change in formula to provide fewer carbs and calories. AdvoCare Spark still contains the same amount of vitamins and caffeine in the original formula.

Great Flavoring. Not too highly stimmed. Has BCAA's in it and other goodies.

If you want strictly energy you can go with Black Cats by Applied Nutraceuticals. Good kick in the pants with nootropics to boot. Tell her to dump the Advocare stuff though...it is overpriced, underdosed garbage.

Strong first post repping the Advocare.

Mostly b-vitamins in the new formula.

OP for the price it's always been crap. Tell her to just drink a decent sized cup of coffee or caffeine pills.

I don't know what the demographic is, but at my work I see ALOT of overweight woman drinking Spark every day. I always figured it was overpriced for what was offered but never did the research. It seemed like one of those products that hits the market hard with a high price and a lot of hype for a certain demographic.

What happens is that some friend of theirs tried it, lost some weight because they didn't eat anything, then the friend decided to sell Advocare and all of their unaware friends jump on the wagon. Money is made, supplements are used, nothing actually happens.

Most things like this are based in caffeine for energy. Get a hold of some samples and see what works best for her.

In-Kaged is pretty good and 124mg caffeine if this thread is still even relevant.
