    Arrow Getting a 6 pack while bulking?

    So im bulking up and i just decided i need to work on my abs before my cruise this summer. Is it possible to get good abs while bulking and if it is any suggestions on how would be really appreciated since i am pretty clueless on how to get abs. I know i need to lower my body fat % and then crunches are about all i know so help me out please.

    Deadlift more


    For 6pack on a bulk you're going to need a really clean bulk, and/or lots of cardio.

    Abs are made in the kitchen, but weighted crunches/curls/lifts will help prominence.

    While bucking a couple years back i got the best abs ive ever had, i hit them pretty intensely.

    Leg lifts, bring your knees to your chest, weighted situps, bicycle crunches.. i done them every other day.. also get some good food and protein in you..

    For the 1,209,083,583,032 time, abs are a muscle. Which means you would essentially 'build' that muscle during a bulk.

    wtf? sigh, so many retarded answers in this thread. Essentially you wouldn't be stripping away fat on a 'bulk', but you can definitely hypertrophy, and when its time to lean down they'll obviously have some size to them.

    LOL. Yep you can't bulk and slim down at the same time. During your cutting, you can, but you have to intake more calories to bulk, so how you goin got lose fat around your belly if you eat more.

    I going to do 6 weeks of bulking then 6 weeks of cutting and then I'll go back to bulking.

    Not the most common thing to do, but can be achieved through carefully dieting and manipulating calories at different times of the day..

    Whilst playing football last year i managed to keep my bf similar level whilst eating above maintanance during the hard pre season. I was training hard, we were doing cardio anaerobic and aerobic training every 3rd day in the summer and i noticed my weight increase by 10lbs and bf stayed similar which was great! So it can happen but you have to be informed on nutrition and the many ways you can use carbs to your advantage.

    You can technically get a 6 pack, but it would be difficult at best.

    If you're doing a lean bulk, and you're putting on minimal fat then it is possible to drop your body fat % as you're putting on more muscle than fat. But it requires you to be really consistent and careful with your dieting.

    I guess if you added more muscle mass to your abs without putting on much fat it would appear more defined!
