Who here subscribes to a calorie is a calorie?

For example, today I ate what are considered unhealthy foods, but in moderate amounts:

    650 calories-2 cups of General Tso's chicken
    400 calorie roast beef sandwich
    200 calories of cottage cheese
    150 calories of cheddar cheese
    100 calorie whey drink
    70 calorie egg
    150 calorie piece of toast
    500 calories of ice cream
    45 calorie orange
    150 calories of white rice
    = 2415 calories

As a 6'1'' 190 pounder who worked out for a 1/2 hour today, that should be enough to get me at a slight deficit for my goal of cutting a little fat, right? However obviously I probably took in too much sodium/sugar, maybe not enough protein, etc. But for fat loss only, who here subscribes to the theory that a calorie, is a calorie, is a calorie?

you're list isnt horrible i dont think..but the only reason i try to monitor what i eat other than calories is because of the fact i spent 18 years of my life with that junk

    but you're a lot smaller than me too..so i think you'd be fine :P
