Misc on Ice - A new EASHL season (NHL 10)

well guys, that time is almost upon us. NHL 10! The soon to be greatest sports game of all time!

we are going to keep our squad going, and looking to add some new teammates.

from what ive read we need to use different style players to succeed in this game, not everyone can be a RW sniper!

here is a semi-accurate roster (360!)

misc name (xbl name) - Player Type & Position
thegenerel - Power Forward LW
conzidine - Defensive Defenseman
timepants (hatemobster) - C/RW
DanAC (Alvidesi) - C/RW/LD

I want to play this game but a 360, xbox live and the game is a little outta my reach right now price wise. Just spent 5 bills on 3 textbooks for school

You poor soul. Can your EASHL guy be on more than one team? I have some friends who are grabbin this and want to play with them too.

I'll be seeing today if I can still get the pre-order bonus.

i dont think you can...but we can now setup head to head games which is nice.

you can also go setup those team play games where its a random team.

lol, there is a role for goons in the game now.

conzy stays at RD and is a more defensive player.

but i wonder if it would be worth setting up a lower team so the new guys can practice and not hurt the top squad?

Don't matter. One is pretty good, I played with him last year and it was good.

Other hasn't played any NHL games since 07 but likes the demo and wants in on the EASHL thingy.

Also going to get some Marvel Ultimate Alliance that day. Feels good man.

what is the deal with that game? does it split the heroes up or something?

It's based off of the Civil War story from the comics. Basically the government wants to know who the heroes are, for saftey reasons and want them to register. Cap leads the anti-reg and Iron Man is leading the pro-reg. So some heroes go different ways

i saw that on wiki. only 3 ppl are locked in to each side, Capt America and Iron Man are by far the most notable.

i guess i will have to play it two times!

Defensive d-man can do either side, and also possibly play net depending on how the new controls work out.

Yeah the goaltending is more of a side gig. Supposedly a (good) human goalie with the new controls cuts down a lot of the BS though like the cross crease passing and the wrap arounds because you can control putting the paddle down and covering up.

I had on and off games of being a Goalie in the last NHL. Honestly, without the cross crease **** it's fairly easy. Would be fun to play against misc teams with goalies.

I have no experience with it obviously since you can't really play goal in the demo, just know what I've read that you can snatch the passes coming across the crease now, you can put the paddle low to stop wrap-arounds, and no more magnetic goalposts because there's a button for it now.

Game is awesome!!!!! AI is much tougher. New goalie saves are sweet and the whole board play is actually useful. We need to get good at that guise. Tues can not come soon enough!
