I went to the doctor's today and they say my BMI is 29.44%. Is that possible?? Here I thought I was high 30's this entire time. Oh and I am 5'7" 185 lbs.

Any idea on BF level?
It also looks like he has genetically wide frame, and even if he would to lose that weight, wouldn't get that aesthetically narrow waist. Thoughts?

I think you might be confusing BMI and Body Fat percentages.
Your BMI is based on a formula that computes your "Body Mass Index" using your height and weight, it is commonly given as a guideline of "healthy" weight based on height.
BMI = ( Weight in Pounds / ( Height in inches)^2 ) x 703
So for what you gave as your height and weight:
BMI = (185 / (67 x 67) ) x 703
BMI = (185/4489) X 703
BMI = .04121 X 703
BMI = 28.97
For BMI ranges
18-24.9 is "Healthy"
25.0-29.9 is "Overweight"
30.0 and up is "Obese"
Body fat is a different type of measurement that requires special equipment to accurately measure. So unless your doctor used a BodPod, DEXA scan, calipers, BioImpedance device, or something like that, I think you were given your Body Mass Index (BMI) and not your actual body fat.
From your picture, I would say that you are correct to think that your Body Fat is higher than 30%.
