Time for a Pro Card
Better organization to compete in- INBA or NANBF?
hey all, 18 year old here about to prep for my 1st contest, I'll be 19 by the time of the contest though. I'm going to start my prep at 16 weeks out, I'm competing in july so I only have a couple of weeks left. the 2 competitions I'm looking into are
NANBF St. Louis Natural Bodybuilding, Figure and Xtreme Fitness Championships- July 10
OR
INBA Muscle Madness USA & Fitness Championships & Missouri State Championships- July 17
to people who have experience with these orgs, which organization is generally considered to be the more well run one or overall "better" organization? at 1st I was content in competing in the INBA contest, because they have a teen class which I feel fairly confident I can do very well in. did some more reading and I've heard a lot of great things about the NANBF organization, however I don't think they have a teen class (can anyone clarify this?) so I would just be competing in the novice division, not too sure how well I would stack up in there but I'm down to give it a shot!
so yeah, any advice/information/etc. on these organizations or specific contests is much appreciated, thanks!

It greatly depends on the individual Promoter, and how much time/effort they put into their contests... That being said it seems the NANBF has a better reputation from what I have heard.

NANBF puts on quality shows, and from what I've seen, any INBA show that is put on by the Kekos crew (the president of the INBA) sucks, however shows where they actually take the time to hire promoters tend to be pretty good.

hey man I'm doing a show in Sac and windsor, both are the california natural bodybuilding championships. You going to compete at all in 2010? Dates are in my sig if you're interested. You still got time to prep! =)
Oh and op I'm doing NANBF and INBA shows this year. From what I heard, the NANBF is really good. I've been talking to the promoters in my for the NANBF in my first contest, and they really care about their competitors. They've been more than helpful and have answered all my questions with sincerity. INBA haven't heard much about though, guess I'll find out.

Both of my shows have been NANBF and I've really enjoyed both, and thought they were both put together very well!

inba is a joke!
i did an inba show the usa last year and the stage was literly a couple tables pushed together and the lights were those crapy construction lights with wire all over the place, the pump up room was a lil curtain.

Really glad to hear it! I'll be working back stage at the NANBF show so make sure you introduce yourself! And I'm taking this year off! I got shredded last year, had a great prep, and didn't get my pro card. So that tells me what I need to improve, needs to be worked on in the offseason! So its 2011 for me
