Lol @ ->drinking<- fish oil.
Those of us who take it are probz gonna have a better heart than those who don't.
... and tendons
... and joints
... and blood flow.
... and sex.
I used to take just 2. But I upped it to 3/4.
There's really no point, though, to take over the recommended amount of fish oil unless you're lifting heavy weight for your size.

500 to 1,000 mg per day; make sure what you take contains EPA and DHA, both concentrations should add upp to 500-1,000 mg a day (the actual capsule will have a higher denomination in mg as the EPA and DHA are stabilized in other fats). higher doses predispose for bleeding and is only efficient for people with heart disease (1,000-2,000 mg), and/or high blood fats (Triglycerides, up to 4,000 mg). again, if you eat oily fish (salmon, sardines) 500 mg is more than enough. Flax seed is good, i use it in the breakfast and shakes but it contains a different omega 3= ALA that in meta-analyses did not show the effect of EPA/DHA in heart disease prevention. On the other side flaxseed contains lignans and fiber so it is definitely a choice but for additional reasons not as a substitute to fish oils. hope it helps.

lulz. This retard negged me for my comment...
Let me see...Did I say you shouldn't take more? No. Did I say taking more than that amount is bad for you? No. I said I'm not sure why you would take more. It seems that that is the recommended dose or the most efficient dose, so that's why I take that dose. If there are benefits to taking more, please inform me, I'd love to know. Seriously. But as far as I know, fish oil mostly benefits your long term health, as opposed to short term bodybuilding gains. It's not like creatine/beta-alanine/bcaa's/etc... It doesn't really do much in the short term, so I'm not sure why you'd take more. Maybe if you were huge, like 220+, I could see upping it a little. Just not sure what benefits you get from going above the recommended 2-3 grams/day.

It helps a ton with skin and acne, as it helps to balance a normal persons unbalanced omega 6 to omega 3 levels. It can help clear hyperpigmentation (red spots after acne), reduces oily skin drastically, and can help prevent future bacteria and infection from forming in the skin.
Anyway, I wouldn't take over 4000 MG, and thats pushing it. Anywhere from 3,000-3,600 is ideal IMO.
