They call them deadlifts for a reason

Sunday morning weights brought on the deadlifts for me..and today I am in pain, which i know, is good. So, do I push through my 4 mile run tomorrow morning even though I hurt? My guess is yes since its cardio, although I do run on an incline. Will my muscles still repair from the deadlift workout?

Who know, you may feel better tomorrow! But just run if you feel up to it. If you think you won't do any good running, then don't. Go with your gut.
I thank God for my success.

Usually once you get out there and get started, you'll loosen up and feel better. Just do what you can.

Increase protein and YES do your cardio. You're techinically "tearing muscle fibers" which is why your legs hurt. By increasing your protein you will aid with recovery and doing cardio will help carry nutrients through the blood stream to the sore muscles.

I would say start it yea but if it's too much it isn't bad to take a little breather, I mean you are still technically recovering from the lifts you know so just listen to your body basically

They're called dead lifts because you're supposed to come to a 'dead' stop between reps. Do what you feel like doing..to be honest running probably won't bother your legs in the same way the dead lifts have. I usually feel a lot less sore after doing cardio (as long as it's not hiit) but if you don't feel like it don't do it.

Carbs are more important than protein in repairing muscle tissue. Also, how does doing cardio carry nutrients through your blood stream? I've never heard of that before..

As long as the pain is from soreness...I'd say do the run. Maybe do a slower run than you might normally have planned if you are stilll really sore tomorrow. I did my very first deadlift today...I only lifted the bench bar though, with no weights, per the suggestion of people here, since this was my first time. I hope I'm not sore tomorrow! ha

    Stretch lots...and good luck.
