In the process of bring my new GHD into the house, I seem to have pulled a muscle in my back. Nothing major, just enough to make it difficult to sleep.
Anyway the GHD is now in the house. It has the round roller pads that I know some of you don't like (I don't mind them), but since it is was made by my favorite equipment company and you don't see these that often I had to get it. Pictures to follow.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

I knew I was going to regret saying I couldn't draw a line in that program. I just knew you'd have a masterpiece done with it . Even worse....your children have.
J/K....that is awesome KB.....I guess I could try to take the time to learn it, but I don't really need to, so I haven't bothered. It does seem like a very powerful program though.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

Thanks! I'll let her know that you appreciate her work.
FWIW...
To draw a line, choose the pencil or paintbrush tool. Use it to draw just one point. Then, holding the shift key down, click on another point. A line will be drawn between those two points.
To draw a circle, choose the ellipse selection tool. Begin selecting an ellipse with it, pressing the shift key just after your begin the selection. This will force the ellipse to be a circle. Once you have the selection made, you can move it or resize it using the resize handles. You then use Edit->Stroke Selection... to draw the outline of a circle. (You have to press <Shift> after starting the selection. If you don't, gimp will add the selection you're about to make to the current selection.)
None of the above is all that intuitive. I learned some of it by trial and error. But I've also purchased a book and have looked at some online tutorials. There's some really complicated stuff in gimp that I've never used. And there's other stuff that I have used, but would have to look up again if I ever wanted to use it again.
I do agree that for simple things, it's a heck of a lot easier to use a paint program.
My daughter does her artwork in gimp using a graphics tablet.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

Hey guys,
Life has been crazy the last couple of weeks. My newborn son is still in the NICU (almost 3 weeks now) but is doing great. He has actually had NO issues in any way and all they really want for him now is to gain some more weight and be able to nipple feed 100% of the time.
My neck seems to be healing up nicely. I see the orthopedic doctor next week to see what he thinks of my progress and hopefully so he can approve me going back to my normal stuff, like BJJ (just being extra careful and taking it slow).
I appreciate all the PMs, posts here and all in support of me and the family during this time. It has certainly been stressful and work hasnt helped at all (more on that situation later, but this rivals the worker's comp debacle when I tore my ACL).
In other news, is anyone planning to go to Sorinex Summer Strong this year? I was told that it will be Saturday, June 23. I have missed the last 2 years and promised a friend that I would go this time. If anyone is going, please let me know.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member #14

I won these on ebay for a good price. I took an hour and 45 min drive down to London to pick them up. They are the equivilent of Cap plates but they are well made. This model is no longer sold over here (despte the stock pics on the websites) so I am going to have to collect them second hand as I go. This is the new choice of plate for my gym. The bar will get sold on to offset the price a bit. I have 2 sets of these now so I only need to find another 12 or so 45s. These are a common plate so it shouldnt take too long.

Hey Buff,
I just caught up on the thread and read about the stuff you've been going through. Best wishes to you and your now larger family.
Sorry to hear about your neck. I went through a pinched nerve/sciatica with my low back a couple of years ago, and it can definitely suck. I did the steroids and then went to a high dose of NSAIDS for a few months...and did the McKenzie protocol for the low back (basically a bunch of cobra stretches, and trying all day not to flex my spine). I know there is one out there for the neck, and would highly recommend picking up a copy of his book. It would be something like 'how to treat your own neck' off of amazon or some other site...should be about 15 bucks and would be worth it.
All in all it took me a year to get back on the mat after my injury, but that's because I screwed around with it for 6 months just trying to work through it and doing my own thing...just made it worse. Rest and anti-inflammatories eventually got it to go away for me, but I had to quit most everything while I was healing.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Anyone collect or deal with old Milo plates? I have a few 2.5s that have collected some interest recently.

Not sure if there are any members from WI, but if there are and you are looking for a new bar, there is a seller on ebay right now listing an Okie Power bar with a starting bid price of $150 or a "buy it now" price of $175. If your not in WI, it will cost you another $35 to have it shipped. Assuming a $210 price, it is still over $100 lower than the new price. The seller also has a couple of generic black oxide bars (5ft and 7ft for sale) as well as some Machined York Plates and some other items. I bring this up, because I just purchased and Ivanko 5ft curl bar from the same seller and the transaction went very well. The bar was in great shape as described and the bar was packaged extremely well.

I bought some gray hammered rustoleum I like it better then then the silver but I can't find it in the quart size. Only in a spray can, when you apply it with a brush it always looks more hammered.
The only place I can buy the gray hammered in a can is online.
I painted the 45 on the left the new one is on the right.
I used the silver on the writing
