Well $hit....it appears that I have another injury. Not sure what it is, possibly a pinched nerve in my neck/back area. Went to doctor and he gave me meds, but they have barely touched the pain. Im going back tomorrow to request an MRI.

I know I say it a lot, but pick up a copy of this book:

If nothing else, it'll give you something to try whilst waiting for the MRI.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

Coupon code threads aren't allowed. Some mods let them slide for a while but in general they tend to get deleted sooner or later.
I have a add on for my browser that tells me if there are any coupon codes available for most shopping sites including this one. I use retail-me-not but there are others.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No. 11

Just finished cleaning my guns, my wife was laughing at me when I was done. She said I need to spend that much time with her- guess I know what I'll be doing tonight
I've got a bunch of outdoor work to do tomorrow, I hope the weather is decent. The Tigers won today, glad I DVR'd it since I fell asleep in the 7th.
JJ, I was thinking about getting into reloading, my dad used to do it. I think he still has all of his stuff. Do you save enough money doing it to make the time worth it or is it just something you enjoy doing?
I used to have about 350# of those (black, not repainted silver), they were actually decent. The weights were accurate, my only problem is that the diameter was different than most other plates. I sold them, along with a Weider 565 rack I got for free, for $300."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

Does he have the equipment for rifle/handgun or shotgun?
As for the benefits/cost savings it really depends. Re-loading is a hobby just like anything else and you can really sink a lot of $$ into it. Kinda of like saying we bought home gyms to save money on the monthly cost of going to a public gym. Sure if we just bought basic stuff and never bought anything again we would save lots of money but in reality we all buy equipment all the time.
I reload for different reasons. I reload 9mm because I shoot quite a bit during the summer months and I can load good quality ammo for about $220 per 1,000. Tho if you factor in the time it takes for me to hand-load 1,000 rounds it makes more sense to go to Walmart and buy the cheap Remington box of 100 for not much more cost. I guess I load this round mainly for fun because I don't save that much and I'm not good enough to really see a huge improvement in accuracy, although I do plan on competing in 9mm this year.
I reload Sig 357 for major cost savings. The Sig 357 ammo is ridiculous expensive. I think WT has one he can attest to that also. I can re-load for about 30% of the cost of factory ammo which actually allows me to shoot that round.
I reload 308 for accuracy and slight cost savings. My 308 I shoot 500-600 yards so I really spend the time developing the right bullet, powder weight, and bullet seat depth (as close to rifling as possible without touching) to really improve accuracy. This really doesn't make much of a difference at 100 yards but it does at 500. I don't really save a lot of money loading my 308 because I buy expensive bullets, powder, brass, etc.... but I can completely customize my load for what I'm shooting (long range or hunting deer, or hogs, or elk)
I load my brother-in-law 30.06 for major cost savings.
Guess to summarize it really depends on what you are going to load, how much time you want to spend. You can save a lot of money on some rounds but if you shoot 3 times as much then there goes the savings.[]---[] Equipment Crew #29 []---[]

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Here's to a result that can point them toward resolving your pain. Back pain can really limit you, as it just seems to be in pain on a continual basis until it starts to feel better then it gets tweaked again.. I second KB's trigger suggestion, along with assorted items that can help ease the sticking areas.

Well, here is the verdict. I have bulging discs at my C5 and C6.
Going to be referred to a specialist newt week. The MRI also revealed arthritis from my neck to my shoulder.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member #14

Getting old sucks man...lol.
No, seriously...injuries on top of injuries always piss me off. It's like, let me get over the one issue before giving me another."Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

Damn dude, you and yankee are just stacking up the injuries around here! I would be scared to have someone look at my back and shoulders, I've just worked through pain for so long who knows what's really going on in there lol. Probably not really funny but I don't ever want to stop lifting heavy...
Have they given you any indication of what it might take to heal or get over that crap?[]---[] Equipment Crew #30 []---[]

Isn't there someone else on here that rides road bikes? Can't remember who. Anyways finally broke the 30 mile mark today. Took me 2 hours 10 minutes to do 32 miles. Not the greatest pace but still a big achievement for me. My legs are toast.

CGC you need to go pick these up ASAP.
I would myself, but no extra $ and pay day is a week away. But whatever you get 'em for I'd buy right back at that cost within a month (if nothing comes up that kills my extra $)

You never know what you'll find when you get checked out. My rheumatologist did a bone density test on me & I discovered I had fractured my spine at some point. I have no issues because of it but she always asks me about my back every appointment.
As far as lifting heavy, I don't personally know anyone who lifts heavy who isn't constantly injured. I think it just comes with the territory. I've never been a heavy lifter so I can't speak from personal experience. I manage to be messed up enough without trying to set personal records.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.19

Here's to buff and yankee getting good results in 2012.
I can remember lifting pretty heavy 30 years ago, and continued that way off and on for quite some time. I think part of the reason I ended up with assorted surgeries(which seem to come with more frequency as I age...) was the fact that I was not worried about good form, or was given guidance on rest, form, assorted routines, etc. As I get within a year of turning 50, I do feel that I am in better overall shape than quite a few of those heavy lifting years, where I was much stronger, as well as carried 40 more pounds. Would still have lifted heavy if had it to do over, but would have done it with different routines and overall good form. That may have put off the 2 shoulder surgeries, as well as 1-2 knee surgeries and assorted other injuries.
Also think there are some who genetically are more apt to not get as many injuries when lifting heavy. Those who are naturally strong, thicker muscle/tendons, a bit shorter arms/legs. All the opposite of myself.... Have had to put in extra work to get strong, as well as having long arms/legs. Just the way it goes. Countless good hours spent lifting heavy weight in gyms across the country, and getting to work out with assorted individuals who also had a fire for lifting, has been enjoyable.
