No ice cream for me. I'm lactose intolerant. Or maybe casein intolerant.
I always figured it was the lactose, but I never feel well when I consume shakes made with casein protein powder. Whey isolate is okay though.

i'd like to lose some fat, not really caring about seeing abs or anything. i'm almost 39 and have never seen mine so... i have accomplished my goal of staying off of blood pressure meds and was on my way to being somewhat strong.
my favorite ice cream is generic, i guess. give me blue moon and i'm happy. it reminds me of my grandparents, the only time i really remember being with both of them at the same time is when we were sitting at a corner ice cream shop and eating blue moon (they had both died by the time i was 5). i do love beer, curious to know what everyone else's favorites are. i think my all time favorite is sam adam's oktoberfest, but there are many others that i like.
there's a gun show in flint this weekend, i think i'll head over there and see what i can find. my wife wants to go too- she wants a "pink pistol". not sure what she is looking for, but if she gets something she won't mind me spending money too
we're going to new orleans on april 27th, looking forward to that."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

I am thinkin beer float! A scoop of ice cream and fill with spiced beer. You sure could save some time.
My favorite beer in winter is prbably a guiness, spring-Sam Adams,summer-carona,autumn-Sam adams-octoberfest. Ice cream favs are coconut with nuts or chocolate with reeses in it. Chunky Monkey and Cherry Garcia get honorable mention.Last edited by 4MEandThem; 03-29-2012 at 04:27 PM.

oh, there are a few more beers i love: sam adam's boston lager, michelob amber bach, leinenkugel's summer shandy, corona. when i'm being cheap i usually go for miller high life, and sometimes i get a 6 of pabst blue ribbon. i used to love stroh's, but haven't had that in a long, long time.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

i hear you on the genetics! almost my whole family is on them right now, i was on them for about 6 months. i decided i didn't want to be so i cleaned up (mostly, anyway) my diet and started exercising. this was almost 10 years ago, and my bp has been decent since. i honestly haven't checked it in a while, but the doctor has been happy with it when i go in for my annual physical. i need to get back into doing some cardio though, just to keep it in check. almost every bad thing that can come down the family tree is in my family history.

I sprayed my Power-Lift Rhino hooks with truck bed liner. The look brand new I hope it will hold up I'll try them out in 72 hours.
I was going to wrap it in Kaydex but I'm thinking there are two many curves to work work with.

You can still lose weight and have your ice cream. You just have to make your portion small. I can never trust myself to take a scoop or 2(end up with a whole bowl ), so I buy the little cups of Edys from the grocery store, $1 each, 150-190 cals depending on the flavor.

Those hooks look really good EPullup! The good thing about strong stuff like that is that even when the paint is almost all scratched off- you can still see the quality of workmanship and design. All the paint in the world won't make cheap gear look good. I like the look of the paint you used, I might try and find an alternative over here.

this is what i'm going to paint my bars with.
i'm not too bad about keeping the servings small when i think about it- it's just that i don't think about it often enough. really though, i generally eat decent meals, it's the snacking that gets me. i just need to start thinking about what i eat, especially at work and i'd probably be ok.
i say i don't care about seeing abs, but honestly it would be awesome to be able to do that someday. i've got other goals to accomplish first, but i might try to get pretty lean after that. i'll be turning 40 next year, maybe that will be a good goal for then?"If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

been on them for two years. I wasn't technically high either, just the high end of normal and my doc wanted to knock me down before it became a big problem.
I blame stress - at the time I had a horrible boss - and my salt intake. I don't have a sense of smell so I tend to use a lot of salt since you don't have to smell it to taste it.
Back in November I checked my BP at the pharmacy and got freaked because it was ridiculously high, like 180/115 and it was like that for the next two months no matter what I did. Luckily the doc took it much lower and said it probably was due to me needing the larger cuff to measure accurately.Boomer Rep Crew #1

ANIMAL......
Blue Moon ice cream???? Never heard of it.
I googled it and have definitely never seen it either. Then I see that Wikipedia reveals this: Blue Moon is an ice cream flavor with bright blue coloring available almost exclusively in the Upper Midwest of the United States.
Oh well.
Most of you guys know that I dont drink at all. That said, I always said that if I did, I would try a Sam Adams, because I like their commercials.
We have a gun show this weekend also. Im sure that I will go, since I like to browse, but I am actually still looking for a few items for my AR. I made a few minor changes to her last night. I will post pics when the makeover is done. My wife is all about a pink fing gun too. I bought her a pink sling for her AR, thats about as far as it has gone. She had a revolver that she was going to get pink grips for, but ended up selling it before making the change.
And of course, its about to get crazy around here.....my city will have another half million people here next week for the Masters golf tournament.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member #14

I'm still on the fence between an AR and another shotgun. I'm sure that whatever I get will get some accessories. I also would like to find a flashlight for my .45. I haven't bought at a gun show before, is it different that buying at a gun shop?

Gonna be sanding down the power rack this weekend.
Disc sander will be the tool used, also going to try and cut the front crossbar out.

Spraying them was a pain in the ass I held them out away from me in one hand and sprayed them with the other. The hook weighs 25 lbs!!!
Rotated it around to get everything even.
I can't tell the diffrence between the factory paint and the liner spray.Pullups Max reps: 40 reps

Thats right, I think you and I were talking about this.
Yeah, when I was doing more powerlifting and trying to buik, I was probably pushing 18 - 20% BF. I was relatively strong, but felt like crap. I didn't like the feeling at all. Then once I started doing BJJ and kickboxing, I found that being that big and strong didn't mean squat if I couldn't breath...so I started dropping the weight.
Now I've just gotten more serious about the %
I weighed 195 this morning. Not sure what % I'm at currently, but guessing 13% and change.
Oh, I like a beer every once in awhile (Red Stripe), but if I don't watch myself ANYTHING an present a challenge. I won't buy ice cream, but if my wife brings it in the house...I'll kill it. Bacon? Pththth...I could kill a pound in one sitting...and I don't even want to discuss pizza.
I can put away some food and I have no question there is this little fat kid living in side of me just trying to get out.
I used to sit and eat a whole container of that at a time while I was trying to put on weight when I was younger...lol. If it didn't have the Walnuts it would be perfect, but I didn't discriminate at all."Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"
The more I workout at commercial gyms, the more I hate commercial gyms.

This is awesome.
We've talked about the flats before....one time up there I had one of those drunk Panini's.....the ones everybody gets at the end of the night...your comment reminded me of that. That sandwich had to have been given to its creators by devine inspiration during a dream....
I can't even remember exactly what was on mine....it was about 3am and we'd been at it since about 1pm the previous day......I can remember french fries and coleslaw (on the sandwich) and lots of everything. I think the four of us just sat on the curb in dead silence for 20 minutes as we finished our sandwiches..... I miss the flats .▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪
