You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Shoulda asked me about this, since we have the same mystery bar.
I use this stuff and I get no rust. I guess it soaks in? I get about a year before a dark patina forms, and I give it another treatment with a wire brush. I use this stuff on my driveway to remove stains.

It's bad enough that my knee has 20 staples in it & then I had to sit here & watch my Orangemen lose. Could this weekend get any worse?
I knew they were doomed when Melo got suspended. A great year wasted. Buckeyes have a shot. Sullinger is a beast. But, getting by Kentucky may be difficult. They are loaded.
I'll be cheering for anyone but them. I can't stand Calipari. Mr. One & done.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.19

Forgot you were a 'cuse fan too. Sorry about the literal insult after injury . All I can say about the Buckeyes is that after the inconsistent season they had, i'm actually amazed they got this far. They have a good team, but they didn't always show up this year. I don't know if they can hang with Kentucky, but at this point i'm just pleased to see them in the hunt. I really think Matta is a good coach too, would love to see him get a Championship before he retires. He's been close.....but not quite there.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

York club huh.
I just grabbed these today, does this get me a number? Sorry I don't have more pictures yet, I still am unloading the truck.
I grabbed 6 or 8 35s, and 4 of the 45s. I also got some smaller plates, but these were the coolest.

The deep dish 45s go for $400 or so a pair. The 35 has the "35" going counterclockwise around the hub. That's a rarer version of the 35 than normal.

I hate to keep saying Keetman is right, but I have never been in as much pain as I am now. Misery would be an understatement. I only get off the sofa to use the restroom or get some food.
I think I slept about 2 hours last night. Ugh. What I wouldn't give to be able to turn back the clock.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.19

I've got this power rack I want to strip and repaint....what's the best thing to use for this? Wire brushes + WD40, CLR, or is there something else out there which will work better.
Plan is to make it a weekend project for this upcoming weekend, although with the days being longer may try to start it one evening.

LoL.....you buzzards. Don't sell anything, I said I have "access" to 33 sets, as in I can use them.....I'd get fired if I tried to sell them.
They outfitted all the stations with them in the 90's with the roundhead db sets......before they stopped making them. They were just nice db's then...now they're nice and valuable, but owned by the city.
Sorry to burst your bubbles, I guess I never really mentioned them. Our firehouses actually have pretty decent setups. In the late 90's they started requiring us to partake in a fairly comprehensive fitness exam and physical.....to help make it more acceptable, they spent a lot of jack on fitness facilities for every station. The equipment was commercial, mostly Bodysolid....but their commercial line. Except for the db's, its all machines too. However, most of the stations have added some sort of freeweight setup (that's how we ended up with the Powerline Rack I've referred to from time to time).
No go on the sales of the db's though....I'd love to make some cash on them, but I'm pretty sure someone would frown on it (actually, lots of someones ).▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

I went hiking with my wife and a couple of friends in the Mazatzals today. We went a bit over eleven miles w/ 2861 feet of elevation gain, most of which occurred in a two mile stretch. I lost 6.5 lbs despite having drank 3 liters (100oz) of water. I drank all of the water in my CamelBak reservoir, though I still had an extra 40oz of water in a bottle in my pack had I needed it. (I have gone on some hikes in the past where I've consumed all the water in two reservoirs - that's 6 liters of water.)
Here's a photo of some of the mountainous ridge lines in the Mazatzals. I thought the contrast of the greyish white ridge in the foreground with the reddish colored one behind it was interesting. Gotta say though that it looked more impressive in person.
We saw some Manzanita on the hike. Continuing on the grey and red theme, I thought the mix of grey and red in the Manzanita bark was interesting.
We saw snow on our hike. Not very much snow mind you, but I rarely see snow at all, so I was excited.
The Willow Fire in 2004 burned a lot of the area. We saw many burned and fallen trees along the way. I thought this one looked interesting.

It's iron I guess? Pretty beast rack actually. Debated a wire brush bit and drill to do the bulk of the work, if it was something smaller I'd just hit it with the wire brush and CLR/WD40 until it got there. But this is a lot of surface, my Uncle has offered to let me borrow a sandblasting gun.

You guys ever seen these?
Benching 225 and over was hurting my hands, so I was looking at Fat Gripz but found the Manus Grips much cheaper($25, ebay). After a few weeks of benching, they are working out great.
I was gonna buy some heavy padded gloves but this is much better and I can leave it on my bench bar.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

Ok, I made a few goals for myself for spring and probably into summer. I've been regularly lifting, but kind of half assing it. My back has had a little to do with it, because I hurt myself pretty good, but I can work with more intensity than I have been (and less talking to my buddy, who's still going at it with me).
Anyway, I'm really going to try and get down below 200lbs. Its going to be tough for me because of the muscle I have put on, but moreso because I have picked up an affinity for ice cream and potato chips.....while at the same time I have decided to run only if someone is chasing me .
So I weighed 228.5 lbs today. I then did some bodyweight exercises and jumped on the treadmill for 3 miles. It wasn't pretty, but I finished them. My goal there is to hit 3 miles in 24 minutes....I have a ways to go, as it took me 37 minutes. Sure, that's pretty pathetic, but I finished and got a baseline....which was my goal for the day. I'm not sure the last time I ran 3 miles, but I believe it was over a year ago.
I have a couple other things I want to do (mainly oriented around the bodyweight stuff)....but I'm mostly concerned with the weight and the cardiovascular stuff. I'm not stopping my regular lifting, just adding some stuff and stepping up my game before I hit 250 lbs.....which isn't going to be pretty on a dude who towers above almost no one at 5'8" .
So here I go, I don't usually put my goals out there, but I want you to embarrass me if I don't put up some results .▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

Jeebus. I can understand the second part, but not the first. Here's how mine would read, "I have picked up an affinity for Scotch and red meat."
Seriously, alcohol is the biggest calorie gainer for guys 30 and above. Cut the alcohol and cut the pounds.
In addition to running, I would suggest forced marches. Strap on a ruck (20-30 pounds) and go for a 30 to 60 minute walk. In no time at all, you'll be ready for the impending alien/zombie invasion. . . . Or just in shape. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I hear you on that. Met my wife @ 202lbs and after 5 yrs I was floating 263lbs. I started lifting and dieting as of last April.
After many different diets and bs training I have settled on GST for lifting and IF as a lifestyle. I am weighing in at 205lb and still going down. IF has been the greatest change I have ever made.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #3 ▪██─────██▪
