    Question Best Alcoholic Drink

    Hi guys,

    I'm a student and so naturally go out quite a bit, I know alcohol is very calorific etc but it has to be done and besides there are some huge guys at the Uni gym who drink a lot. What I'm wondering is what's the best thing to drink? I'm on a cut at the moment so I'm going for the slimline gin and tonics but this is kind of gay, any better ideas?

    theres no magical answers, alcohol is the devil when it comes to bodybuilding. I drink twice a week, and I know I am not helping anything, but i try and keep it clean sunday-thursday.

    calorie wise, hard liquor + diet soda of some kind. or just shoot it straight

    or if you want to get really crazy, drink some budweiser 55's...

    i like my hard booze pressed. this might be a Canadian term, i dunno, but its a rum or whiskey with water and a splash of coke (i like coke zero).

    if your drinking vodka, there's a low calorie beverage called Fuze (comes in 2-3 flavors). its kind of like a juice. but doesn't have much sugar or calories and mixes great with vodka or dark rum (captain morgan's goes great). i can only find it at 7-11. if your a fan of fruity drinks, mix with flavored Malibu rum, great summer drink!

    Or my favorite, scotch, water and ice

    those are my healthy alternatives for hard liqour, as for beer, i usually go dark.

    also, at your height and weight i wouldn't worry about cutting

    my drink of choice is vodka mixed with diet soda. 0 carbs, 0 sugar, the only calories you get are from the vodka itself which should be 7cal/g

    just watch out for the drunk munchies. and beware of water retention in days following.

    Mens health had an article about actually adding a beer (Budlight, Coors Light, ect) into your diet. Even though the beer isnt takin daily it is actually good for you. Now dont come after me on this one, im just referring to the mens health article!

    Just don't drink them out of a rainbow swirly straw.

    Gotta choose what sacrifice to give. Drink alcohol have fun and have a good body or drink no alcohol and have a better body. I'd just limit yourself to a couple of shots a night and that should keep you decently buzzed.

    Rum & soda water is my fave.....soda water = water therefore zero calories.....and a double measure of rum 50ml = 100 calories.

    Tip = Havana Club rum is a million times nicer than Bacardi ;-)

    I'm sure there will be a lot of negative comments in regards to this. But you are in college, you should go out and experience it. Once it's over, its over. I drank a good amount in college and still managed to hit the weights hard. Mind you, I kept drinking to the weekends.

    Tonic water is loaded w sugar so i would avoid that. When I do a cut I get all my booze with water. Vodka water is a pretty good mixture. It's girly but I really don't care what people think. Give it a shot and see what you think.

    stick to red wine or hard liquour with diet sodas if you're concerned calorie wise.

    my favourite is a tom collins with or without the sugar (i think it becomes a rickey then).. you can sub splenda if you want. i'll dump blue berries in it too sometimes. good summer drink.
