If you want to get a tat using Native art, it should be because of the reason behind that art (IMO.) In other words - you should know for yourself based on the meaning of the symbols, and not need to ask others for input.
unless you're native american, those tats would be horrible.

Its fairly straightforward, family. Tho i am only part native(tlingit), it was a huge part in the early parts of my life, shaping my experiences and who i am today. I havent been involved with it in a long time, but its still a part of who i am. The raven is my clan.Im just trying to figure out what would fit the shoulder best.

I'd take some ideas into a good artist and have them work with you to see what flows best with the shape of the area you want it in. They should be able to work something out that looks better than what you'd figure out on your own.

I like 2 and 3. 2 if going on the shoulder and 3 as a chest piece. But I liked the suggestion that lunica brought up. Take your ideas to a good artist and let them draw up something that is a tie to your native heritage and other things that are important to you.
You can, and need to find a ground that you know you are suppose to stand on.. hence, stand your ground, this is the place where you know everything is as it should be for you. If you stand in a place where you know in your heart things are wrong, most things around you will never be right.
