Starting 1500 calorie diet tomorrow (check it)

So pretty much, I've been dieting for the past 5 weeks, after bulking over the first few winter months. I ate 2500 calories for one week, then for 4 weeks ate 2000 calories, I pretty much lost like 2 lbs, and It's hard to tell if that is true. Since with hydration, time of day and what I eat that day pretty much makes up for a 2lb difference. Anyways, starting tomorrow I plan to follow this diet. I am going to try and do it for 4 weeks and see what happens.
This is an example of a typical day.

9am :Breakfast will be 75 grams of Honey Nut Cheerios + 2 cups 2% milk.
    1pm :5 ounce chicken breast
4pm :5 ounce chicken breast 1 cup of brown rice
    5pm : workout
    8pm :8 ounce chicken breast
    11pm :6 ounce chicken breast
Ill be taking a multi vitamin
    and N.O xplode pre workout
    Drinking a gallon of water
I'll also be taking a serving of surplina

    Total calories 1550

I'm also not sure how I should be lifting, I want to preserve muscle, and I know 1500 calories isnt going to help in that respect. But as far as lifting goes, should I be doing. High reps Light weight, or stay lifting heavy?

that is a lot of chicken, you will get tired of it.

try some tuna....lean ground beef.....steak. there are plenty of other options out there for meat.

as far as composition I have tuna, and 96% lean beef, and 99% lean ground turkey. its the general macro + total calories. I'm trying to keep the carbs down.
