I am looking to put on some size. How does the routine below look. I like the variety of back exercises so that is why I am alternating the two every Friday.
Mon:
Barbell Squat 3x5
Leg Press 3x10-12
Lunge 3x8-10
Stiff-Leg Dead Lift 3x6-8
Leg Curl 3x10-12
Seated Calf Raise 3x12
Tues:
Elliptcal
Abs
Wed:
Bench Press: 3x5
Incline Dumbbell Press: 3x8-10
Military Press: 3x6-8
Side Lateral Raises 3x10-12
Close-Grip Bench 3x6-8
Weighted Dips 3x8-10
Thurs:
Elliptcal
Abs
Fri:
Dead Lift: 1x5
Pendlay Row: 3x 6-8
Chin Ups: 3 sets 6-8
Shrugs 3 sets of 6-8
Reverse Curls 3x15
Leg Press Calf Raise 3x10-12
Alternate with
Power Cleans: 5x3
Pull Ups: 3 sets 6-8
T-Bar Row: 4 sets 6-8
Barbell Curl: 3 sets 8-10
Wrist Curls 3x15
Leg Press Calf Raise 3x10-12

Looks fine, its not the tool that gets the job done, its the skill in the hands using the tool.
The only thing I dont like, but this goes to personal opinion, is the power cleans. Nothing wrong with that as an effective movement but I dont in general like dynamic movements like that unless they are directed at competition because I feel there is more risk of injury than with a more controled movement.
