    Phosphatidyl Serine = Cortisol control?

I was looking for supplements that control cortisol, and came across many people and articles saying it helps control/reduce cortisol levels. I have been drink coffee every morning for quite a while now, and nearly everything I see about coffee and cortisol is bad, so I've been a little worried.. Has anyone had any success with this?

The worrying and hand wringing about cortisol is probably increasing cortisol more than anything. PS is fairly expensive anyway and I can think of 99 other things to blow money on at 17 yo and supplements to assuage made up fear ain't one.

ive been taking it for roughly 3 weeks...at around 600-700mg daily.

I've maintained good energy/recovery from intense workouts (3 or more two a day sessions) and been sleeping like a baby.

I have some other supps in rotation as well....couldn't pinpoint an actual difference

    You're 17. What's the issue?

I know cortisol increases with older age, and younger bodies are much better at rebounding/maintaining homeostasis, but I assume cortisol affects everybody the same way, regardless of age.

I love Phosphatidyl Serine! It is very expensive though.

I think it's a great supplement. I dropped 141lbs and thought it helped big time. Lean Xtreme by DS sports has it in the formula. At 17 though i'd stop worrying about supps so much. Just get your nutrition and training down for now.

Cortisol isn't the devil as others have said and neither is coffee
