    Dumbell bench press

The gym i use unfortunately doesnt have a bench press rack, (does have machine) but i prefer to use free weights. Im a little over 140lbs and use 2x30kg (about 2x65lbs) dumbells and can do 6-8 reps.
Just wondered how much more people can usually do using a standard bench press barbell? what do you think id be looking at benching?

when i transitioned from DB to barbell I barely had a weight increase at first. During the next month my barbell bench went up pretty linearly.

does this actually matter or are you just curious for the hell of it?

There's no magic BB/DB conversion formula. In general BB allows for slightly more weight, but a lot of it depends on how often you bench and which one you use. Of course, they are almost identical movements, so for example if you can bench 100s it's probably safe to say that you can handle close to 200 with a barbell. But there's no direct carryover from DB to BB or vice versa.

If you train both regularly, I figure your BB should be a bit higher as your stabilizers aren't engaged as much as with DBs. that is all.

I was just wondering to you actually...

Why are you going to completely replace rows with power clean?

Yep, all depends on which you train more. Some poeple lift the exact same on BB and DB, because they never train BB. If you train them equally, BB will be a little higher than DB. if you never train DB, then BB will be FAR higher than DB.

I'm guessing he is doing starting strength. Rip has people do bent over row or power cleans.
