    Front squat/Back squat superset?

Anyone ever try it? My buddy said he's been doing it for a few sessions, 10 reps each, and loves it. He wants me to try it tomorrow. Seems like it would be a little dangerous, since the form is so different.

    Thumbs up

Sounds like it could be an interesting alternative to 20 rep squats. However, just like 20 rep squats, i would not do them in consecutive weeks. Moderation.

Sounds interesting - I don't think the different techniques would be a problem.

Throw in some overhead squats in between as well!

Surely you couldn't go at maximal or near maximal workload for both? Maybe work if its low weight for endurance or something?

Also, starting with front squats would be a good way to pre exhaust the quads.

reps on recharge for interesting topic

Yeah, I might give it a try tomorrow. He has pretty crazy recovery, so I think he's been doing this for a few weeks straight (1Xwk.). I agree, though. It's not something I would want to try every week.

Yeah, we would definitely go lower on the weight. I don't think he's been going more than 50% of max. We are trying to treat our leg sessions as carido sessions, too (tis the season for cutting, after all).

EDIT: Point of clarification. We do normally train together, but for scheduling reasons, we have missed the past few leg sessions and have had to do them solo.

Look up some Milos Sarcev workouts. He'll put twenty-five leg exercises in a row for a huge superset. Not heavy weights but there is definitely some weight on the bars. I've done overheads and front squats, but it's more of a lung workout because I can't overhead squat that much.
