What's considered a good deadlift for my weight?

My 1RM for deadlift is currently 225, is this decent for my BW?

    My other lifts are

    Bench: 170
    Military: 125
    Squat: 205

How long have you been training?

A couple months = OK, not great.

6 months or more = you need to work harder.

try your best not to worry about the quantity of weight you use, worry about doing the movements correctly. this is more important than how much weight.

5lbs more than last week, and 5lbs less than next week.

Get your reps in good form. Reward yourself by adding 5lbs next session.

I think these stats are pretty meaningless.
They don't count the height, for one. If you're at my weight there's a difference in your structure if you're 5'7'' or damn tall and lanky like me.

The novice column is pretty much my final goal, ffs.

It's not bad. Keep up the work! I know I feel like my lifts are still a little low, some of that is because I will correct something with my form and drop the weight a little so I can make sure I nail it. Some of it is because I just started. I still have a lot more corrections to go but the weight will come with it.

even with great noob gains, youre not gonna add a plate to your dead by summer. thats what - only 3-4 months?

actually, maybe in 4 months you can by adding 5 pounds a week.

    I'm 185 and struggle @ 315.

Then I watched "Nice body but what can you do with it - part 8" on youtube, fixed my form a little, and it helped tremendously. Keeping my shins right up to the bar and squatting back and I can do 315x5 without feeling like I'm going to die. I feel like 405 is definately in reach now. Going to try and do a 8 week progression and get up to at least 385.

....Now I just need to fix my squat form. The usual crowd I hit the gym (at work) with was harassing me for not going deep enough on my squats, and my knee is pretty messed up after I tried to oblige heh :\

On the topic of deadlifting -- when do you guys put it in your split? I've tried on leg days but I feel like I have no lower back stability after em, and if I do it on back day I really can't go as heavy on T-bar etc.

It's good bc it's what u can do right now. I'm 182lbs and dl 245lbs after 8 weeks at once a week. Just keep adding weight it'll increase. You can't just start out and lift heavier than ur capacity that's how u hurt yourself. I squat 210 also. Don't let the brahs get u down. They are either straight lying about their lifts or worked up to where they are. You would be surprised how many losers sit on the forum and lie about their lifts to look better on paper.

if you aren't increasing deadlift weight by 5lbs each week then you need to work harder. Honestly you have a lot of room for rapid improvement at that level OP but keep working hard and you will be 315+ in no time
