about a week ago i was snowboarding and took a pretty rough landing on a jump. ever since then, if i move my right arm up like above shoulder level and out to the side sorta it hurts and cant lift any higher. can a doctor help with this? or should i just let it heal, should i take any normal meds? (thought it would have healed by now)
help pls :]

Yes, a doctor can help, See an orthopedic specialist.
I hurt my Shoulder this football season, VERY similar to your diagnosis.
The pain is gone when I lift completely, I took a few months off, but I just recently
began playing catch, and my rotator cuff screams with pain. I'm going to my ortho surgeon next week.
dont mess with it, go to the doctor. My Powerlifting log-

290 Squat
300 Deadlift
160 Clean
Im a wrestler, not a bodybuilder.

I started visiting a chiropractor and I haven't isolated the shoulder injury - but according to the doc it is nervous system stuff we are trying to correct. We repositioned my atlas bone and this will reset my spine position. I have learned a lot about how when taking whiplash or other damage, your body will correct its injuries naturally my modifying your spine and muscle position to keep your head sitting straight. I guess I messed up this bone positioning so my spine and nerves are pinched in certain areas, one of which being my shoulder. I still continue to lift, and I am able to do most exercises without pain (the only ones that give me trouble are incline bench and overhead military press). I am visiting the chiropractor nearly weekly (This friday will be my 2nd follow up) to make sure my spine is repositining itself and that these nerves are not pinched. According to the chiropractor, that is what is causing the issue.
I also have other problems (My pelvis is not sitting level - one side 16mm higher than other) that are directly related to the spine alignment and such, he said we are aiming to fix it all, instead of just trying to treat an injured shoulder/etc.
Thanks for the replies all
