    Protein Powder Without Artificial Sweetners?

    Hello,
Im looking for a protein powder that still comes in flavors, but my doctor tells me I cannot have Aspertame or Sucralose. But I can have Fructose, regular sugar, and or Stevia.
Can someone recommend some powders and where i can find them? Thanks a bunch!!!

Unflavoured proteins should be available where you are. You should be able to pick them up with a really short list of ingredients - whey & soy lecithin (for mixability)

Optimum Nutrition Natural (multiple kinds), Labrada Lean Body Natural, and NOW sells most of their proteins in the Natural option. I haven't had any of them, but being as cocoa is a natural sweetener I'd assume Chocolate flavors would be the way to go with natural protein.

Why does your doctor think you cant have sucralose but you can have stevia?

dymatize elite whey has a natural line with stevia i believe... i know ON whey comes in a natural line with stevia as well.

NOW has whey concentrate and whey isolate might be stevia free based on the flavor you choose too

SAN has a natural whey that uses stevia, but I'm also confused by why a doctor would suggest eliminating sucralose but allowing stevia.
    My secret? Texting between sets.

Kind of reminds me of this doctor who warned me not to take creatine because his buddy experienced suppression while on it, then cycled off and lost all of his gains. Most gullible doctor ever...not sure how these people get licensed.

I guess there is a possibility that the OP has GI problems with certain artificial sweeteners and not others?

Don't recall seeing anything on long-term human studies as far as stevia goes. But mice studies seem to show detrimental nervous system effects with stevia: http://www.fasebj.org/content/29/1_S...nt/983.4.short

Keep in mind these are most likely huge doses though. I can't get at the full text to say for sure.

Nothing on stevia that I am aware of either. Maybe in regards to the ethanol extraction process but I really don't know. Aspartame and Sucralose are a different story. They are why I am guessing something in regards to his CNS.

Also curious as to why your doctor is saying that you can't use artificial sweeteners. Try out ON 100% Natural Whey, Muscletech Platinum Iso-Zero, and SAN Natural Whey Supreme.
