We all use supps. to get in better shape, and to augment our lifting, gaining and cutting regimens.
There are ideas that just diet and exercise and no supplements can be just as effective, and much easier on the wallet.
my question to you is: How much do you spend on supplements in a year?
it might surprise you how much some people will spend to enhance their body. (me included)!
I personally spend about $350 a year. Most of that being protein.

I went crazy on stocking up on stuff and spent over $1000 last year, this year it will prob be around $500 total if not less. I have found the cheapest possible protein source and only use multi and fish oil with that. Food will now be the thing that costs $, supps not so much...

not necesserily ... if on test booster , bulk etc with increased hunger/calorie intake and shooting for upwards 2.0 g protein / lb bodyweight ... 225grams of protein from powders is about 50% of your protein intake, which is not too bad... getting 450 grams of protein from food would be expensive and or impossible...
Plus once you figure post workout shake, casein pre-bed, protein to supplement a meal, meal replacement shake or two.. there you have itTestoPro + Daa

I really couldn't say, cause I stock up a lot, and it lasts me forever. On top of that, whey/casein is a staple as I eat a mostly ovo-lacto vegetarian diet (and it's a little more difficult to get in the protein without raking in carbs), so I count that more as food, not a supplement.
Staples, not counting whey, probably around 83 bucks a month."To close one's eyes will not ease another's pain" - Chinese Proverb

stocking up during good sales saves a lot of money.. unless it goes to the point of supplement acquisition syndrome and lots of supps go to waste as the stash continues to grow exponentially

Between $250 to $500. The secret is to get expensive stuff during the holidays and birthday's. Last September got 3 tubs of NO-Shotgun from the girl, B2G1. This past Christmas got hooked up with 25 pounds of whey (MGN). Hoping to receive some creatine this Valentines day...

IT would seem that the majority of voters either spend either 250-500 or 1000+.
What if i had kept going and put 1500+?
I made this thread because I don't think about how much i spend on supps, because its going to a good cause: making me stronger (i hope).
But in these recessionary times, sometimes tightening the belt on supp. spending can be a good thing.
keep an eye open for good deals!
and maybe before we place that next order, we'll all think a little more before clicking Place Order.

I spend way to much compared to how much I make probably spend at least $100 a month.

FAR less than I would spend if I was buying them in food form.
Protein: I get from a cheap source. 40 pounds a month (around 90 dollars) for 5KG (around 12lbs). If anyone is wondering it's Nutrisport protein, which is quite popular here in the UK.
And a creatine product (around 40 pounds)
I dunno if you can call Natural Peanut butter a supplement, LOL. But I use it purely for bbing purposes, i.e. for kicking up my caloric intake in my shakes. for that, I pay 4 pounds per 1kg tub, and buy around 4-5 tubs a month.
