    How many days do you guys...

    Wait to squat after a max effort deadlift workout?


    I used to deadlift on saturday, and squat monday and thursday.

    but my squat feels horrible on monday...since my deadlift has started going up every week, I can barely get my usual weights up. Should I just switch to one time a week?

    Deadlift tuesday, squat fridays (or saturdays, it depends)

    Edit: You are probably having trouble because you have 2 squat days and a deadlift day. You are most likely going too heavy on one of the squat days. I mean come on, squat thursday, deadlift saturday, and expect a good squat workout on monday?

    I squat twice a week and deadlift on one of those days as well.

    Squat Monday, dl and squat Friday.

    I went pretty heavy thursday, so I guess this is the problem. I will probaly change the squat to wednesday and do a lighter workout on deadlift day.
