    Gummie bears after workout?

My friend told me that he had heard that a lot of people eat gummie bears after they lift, has anyone heard of this I was wondering what it does for you, if anything?
One half a step too late or too early and you dont quite make it One half second too slow too fast you dont quite catch it The inches we need are everywhere around us They are in every break of the game every minute every second On this team we fight for that inch On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch We claw with our fingers for that inch We know when we add up all those inches thats gonna make the difference between winning and losing PvilleFball

It's just a way to get an insulin spike post workout. A lot of people believe that spiking your insulin with sugars or other simple carbs will help your muscles get the nutrients (protein) they need to begin the repairing process. You don't really need that huge insulin spike post workout assuming that your preworkout nutrition is in check.

To answer your question, eating gummy bears postworkout is absolutely fine, but eating them isn't gonna be any better than using dextrose, oats, or any other carb source for that matter. But, they sure do taste good.

Yeah they are great after a workout. Mainly haribo gummi bears which are made mostly of dextrose and not glucose.

The key is to bite their heads off first, and make little screaming noises of pain for them as you are doing it. The green and clear ones are the best, and the must be Haribo.

Dextrose IS glucose. It is simply glu-glu and once it hits your digestive tract, it is instantly broken down into 2 glucose molecules. Did you mean fructose? normal gummy bears would be about 50/50 glucose-fructose

    I guess you could...

But why? Just do a Whey/Simple carb powder (dextrose/maltodextrin/Waxy maize starch).

    It's tried and true.
