I also ordered the "athlete" from Dean and it is really nice. The best thing to me about it is it feels a bit worn in so its really comfortable from the start, yet it has that rigid support you would expect in a high quality belt. I ordered over the phone, sent a check, took about a week and a half to get here and I would recommnend Best Belts to anyone.

Dean's site has been down since his wife Jackie first got sick. If you call him, he's still making belts and he's still as helpful as he can possibly be. Service is still quick and the only difference is that he no longer accepts credit cards, just checks. Turnaround is usually less than a week, for the nicest custom belt that you ever did see ).

Another happy customer. Received his and hers belts yesterday. Both belts fit in the center hole of the belt.

Ok that's good to know thank u for the reply.
Been considering a deadlifting belt from bobs belts, its 4 inch in the back and tapers to 3 in the front but he is not excepting orders right now.
I've used a inzer forever belt and hate how it digs into my legs/gut, so that is why I started looking at that belt.
@Dumb.bell thanks for the pick looks very well built.

I have exactly the same belt (athlete/pre-broken/navy) as dumb.bell. I was going to post a pic but he beat me to it and even after a year of heavy use it still looks identical to the belt above.
dumb.bell: Is the one on the right the new 3" belt? I'm planning to buy one for deadlifts but Dean said they wouldn't be ready until early May.

Anybody tried Dinostrength
I went to a site called dinostrength.com. I ordered a lever belt for $44 including shipping. After looking around I realized this was too good to be true but I had already ordered. I think it was in these forums that I saw someone had troubles but that they got taken care of eventually. Well I ordered my belt 3 months ago and still haven't gotten it. On top of that there was a guy named Scott who had been answering my emails but thats stopped now as well. Maybe Ive been luck because this is the first time I've been ripped off ordering over the internet. Lesson learned I guess. Suffice to say, I don't recommend dinostrength.com.

Sorry I didn't see this question earlier. No, that it not the 3 inch belt, it is a 2.5 inch belt. He also told me the 3 inches weren't going to be available until May. We were thinking my wife might need a 3 inch initially, but the 2.5 inch has worked fine for her. She pulled a new PR on Wednesday 4/25/12 of 225lbs at a weight of 135lbs.

Thanks. I called today. The guy seems really nice, just maybe a little overworked. But suggesting he may have ripped me off was perhaps a little too strong a language. He says he will ship the belt to me personally on Monday and that this has been the fault of a third party he uses to fulfill his orders. Anyway we'll see. At the time I ordered the bestbelts site was down. Right after I ordered I got an email with the phone number for the best belts guys. In the meantime, squatting without a belt has been good for me and forced me to really work on form (to look on the bright side).

I might be hitting you up soon. I made a bad choice and tried to order one from this Dinostrength website. That's been almost a year ago. Apparently it was a fly by night rip off scam. Never got my belt and now the website is gone. I did speak to some guy named Scott Tulley multiple times but I guess he finally changed his phone number.
