    How do I go about lowering calories and still hit fat and protein amounts?

    at 1700 cals a day I hit both on point. If i tried to lower to 1600 how would I do it?

    I understand that, but with new macros of 60, 35, 5 for 1600 cals, I'd be getting less than ideal amount of protein.

    No...
    Start by calculating your protein intake at 1g/lb lean mass at your new intake...then once that is set get 5% of the remaining from carbs and then the rest fat it will balance out

    If I am understanding correctly, it seems you may be trying to cut your calories too low. What is your LBM?
