    Best Night time protein powder

    I am an avid weight lifter and really only use protein powders for supplements, usually only whey. What should I be looking for in a Protein powder before i go to sleep each night?

    You want something that is slow digesting as your body will not be taking in any food for however long you rest.

    Some of my favorite proteins for bed are Ultra Peptide 2.0. Stellar profile. Half whey protein isolate, half micellar casein for the protein. It does have quite a bit of fat if that fits into your macros. If you're looking for no fat and no carbs, I suggest Nimbus NiteTime, which is just 50/50 WPI and milk protein isolate.

    Casein is best before bed, though i can't really stand the taste of on's. so i go with a blend like muscle milk or nitro core 24.

    You definitely want to take a mix Whey/Casein before bed so that it stays in your system a little longer. Try Gaspari MyoFusion with a glass of skim milk before going to bed... taste is great, a good protein punch with not a lot of fat, and it should give you a good 6-7 hours of protein.

    The only negative is possibly having to get up to piss during the night...
