    CEU's for NSCA?

Can anyone tell me how CEU's work for the NSCA certification? I understand there are certain things you would have to do to retain your certification.
    http://www.nsca-cc.org/ceus/recertification.html

That is the link that I have been trying to comprehend, but I really don't understand how the CEU's work. Do you pay $30 everytime you get a CEU? Also, do you lose your certification if you do not meet these requirements? Is there a fee for recertification?

If someone could just break this down in layman's terms, that would be awesome. Reps for help.

The $30 fee is to remain certified and per credential. So if you have the CPT or the CSCS you'd pay $30 to renew your cert. If you had both the CPT and the CSCS you'd pay $60 to renew both certs. You do lose your certification if you don't get your CEUs, turn them in, and pay the fee. If you don't do this and you lose your certification, you have to go back through and re-take the exam and pay the exam fee to get certified again.

Hope that helps. There are a lot of really interesting CEU courses out there.

So what does getting your CEU's actually require you to do? How often do you have to get them? I guess in turn I am asking how often to actually have to pay the $30? Essentially what I want to know is are getting your CEU's a continual pain in the ass even if you're interested in the material?

I need six CEUs for a three year period (certified in 1999). I always get four of my credits from the quizzes. Before I had to purchase a membership to get their journal in take the quizzes. Now they offer the quizzes online so I don't have to buy the membership. I used to pay $15 per quiz but it looks like the fee is bumped up to $20 now. Quizzes are put into category B. Four credits is the most you can get from this category.
