Hello,
I'll explain a little about myself first and then some questions about keto-diets. I've always been extremely athletic but lacked the diet to achieve my full potential.
I'm 22 years old, male, 5ft 10" and 200lbs. I currently do BJJ (brown belt level) 4 nights a week and Wrestling for 2 nights (roughly 2 hours per Jiu Jitsu class and 2 hours per Wrestling class). I've recently started running although nothing impressive (3 times a week for 30 -45 mins before work). Also I lift weights only 2 times a week for a hour each session.
I feel that my exercise is pretty good per week but my diet really lets me down. I've always thought that I ate healthy but it was really carb high (pasta, potatoes, whole-meal toast).
Is keto a good solution for me being a little overweight?
Should I perhaps drop a little bit of cardio for more weights?
I'm thinking about ECA while on keto also to try and maximize results, is this a good idea?
Also I know a lot of people will cringe at this but I love Pepsi Max (it is expendable) but it only has 0.3kCal, 0.1g of protein and nil of carb, fat and fibre, so I can't see it knocking me out of keto.
I'm currently putting the finishing touches on a menu I have done, if you want to see if I'm doing it correctly.
