One is a vasodilator and the other isn't. I wouldn't recommend either at your age.

Monohydrate is monohydrate. Creatine nitrate elicits the benefits of monohydrate, plus increased bioavailability, with the addition of significantly enhanced NO distribution and enhanced co-ingested nutrient uptake. Enhanced NO distribution also enhances skeletal muscle force production and growth.

Just at 16 I didn't think he would need to concern himself with expensive supplements.

I'm not bashing C-bol by any means, I have a bottle on order now.

I just feel at the age he should be more concerned with his diet and training program than which creatine he thinks he needs.

Creatine mono has research backing it, nitrate may be a novel idea, but honestly I don't see any research on it.

nitrates are one of the most studied compounds in the medical field. there's really no argument here.

    In for this answer.

side note:NO HYPE, what are your thoughts on a 16 yr old using creatine. Be it positive or negative, I respect your knowledge and I cant 100% say go ahead and use it. However, I dont see a reason why not too. I dont believe in loading though, regardless of age, and when I say loading I mean the 20g a day stuff. I dont see any issues up maybe say 10 g. But honestly, that's just an arbitrary number that seems safe to me rather than being able to back it up with real reasoning as why to do that other than linear reasoning.

edit:not just linear reasoning, personal experience as well.

The logic is quite simple actually. Take all the studies/benefits on creatine monohydrate... then combine them with the [established] clinical efficacy of nitrates. 1+1 = 2

unlike blends that claim to give creatine better absorption/uptake etc...the effects of creatine nitrate do not extend beyond the intended purposes of each compound on its own.

dont really need a study, it would be quite pointless.

For me its a 1-2 punch because you get the added protein synthesis from the creatine, and the nitrogen retention from the nitrate bond.

    short answer for the OP

creatine nitrate will give you more pumps and slight strength increases compared to mono. If you are talking about c-bol, which i assume you are as that is the only creatine nitrate that i am aware of at the moment, then c-bol also has some other stuff to help with pumps and also contains orotic acid, which is proven to help increase ATP production and give better strength gains. Apparently, according to my orotine bottle, orotic acid also increases natural beta alanine production. Don't really know how that works exactly, though.

And to the people saying creatine is bad at 16, it really isn't. Creatine can be used properly at any age really for teenagers, and yeah he probably doesn't need it, but it's not like it is going to hurt. Technically, nobody needs creatine, but it still definitely helps, no matter what exact age you are.

We've heard all this before but it does sound intriguing. Anyone know what company has filed the patent for Creatine Nitrate?

That's what I figured. I personally dont like the stomach discomfort associated with loading at that level. 10g a day never seemed to cause physical discomfort for myself at least.

creatine nitrate will give you more pumps and slight strength increases compared to mono.

There are two products by SAN that also contain creatine nitrate; one is Fierce, the other is CM2 Nitrate.
