So what do you have cranked up real loud on the ipod when you're about to go for that personal best bench press? What Kind of music makes you want to never leave the gym? For me, it's gotta either be Disturbed or Breaking Benjamin.

Five Finger Death Punch, Between the Buried and Me, heavier Dream Theater (Octavarium, Systematic Chaos, the second half of Awake), Megadeth, and Opeth have all gotten into my workout mix. My gym plays some pretty good XM stations so when I forget my headphones, I'm not completely out of luck either.

Anything with a good tempo, depends on what im doing aerobic or anaerobic (running or sprinting) i like to follow the tempo so i get a song that will roughly have similar bpm to my heart rate.
weight training, anything powerful and heavy (august burns red go quite nicely, powerful guitars and drums).
I had a research project about music effects on sports, a lot of other research suggested that it helped performance, but mainly down towards key phrases in the music.
suppose something that talks about death and war, isn't the best choice. lol
what i read, talked about songs that said words such as keep on moving, dont give up, faster, longer, etc, helped motivate
was in health men magazine, december-janurary.
Versailles - Zombie, awesome for a nice run
