    Calorie counting and late nites

I was hoping to get a little more information and tips for late nites and monitoring your calorie intake.

    1. What time do you typically stop taking in calories?
    2. What do you do to stop those late nite cravings?

To add to this I work 2nd shift 3p-12a, any tips and advice is greatly appreciated.

I was also wondering if I am taking in enough calories in the day. According to the "My Fitness Pal" on my phone it says I should take in 1630 calories a day.

    I am 6' and weigh 239.

I usually make it to the gym 4-5 days a week and do about 45 min of cardio I started back in July and was at 296, but seem to have hit a wall right now and my goal is to lose some more weight then bulk up.

    Thanks again!

time of day and size / frequency of meals has no effect on weight loss.

you could eat all your meals during the day or before bed. it doesnt matter

to stop hunger pains i usually have my last meal about 2 hours before i go to sleep.

Since I usually work out 8-10 pm, I usually eat about 50-70g protein and 120-150g carbs right before bed. I'm just up late tonight.

If you are taking in 1630 calories a day at your weight, you are severely under eating. I weigh about 220 and I will be eating somewhere around 3,400 cals on my upcoming cut. Your basically starving your body.

Full meal, but usually a shake because I'm tired and lazy.
Two scoops protein powder (a blend not just whey) and 1-2 tbsp Udo's 3-6-9 oil.

That would not work for me. I'm 6-1 and weigh 255. I'm eating 1800-2000 calories per day. Any more than that and the weight starts piling on. I'm lifting/doing cardio 6 days per week for at least one hour per day.

Some of us have very slow metalbolism.

My wife on the other hand eats a pie every 2-3 days and eats a box of 8 donuts in 3-4 days (above her normal food) and she is still skinny and all her stats(cholestral/ bp etc) from her physical are normal . Her mom is 89 and she is the youngest. her aunts are still living at age 92, 98 and 101

Can't help myself but usually late nights are really bad.
Eat clean, but just seemed famished at night.
Usually start eating around 10:30 and finish 10:30 with larger meals at night though.

Wow, dude, you went to the back of the cemetary for this one...

Why not try intermediate fasting(IF), maybe do 16/8 and eat between 12-8pm(or something similar) and have a bigger meal close to 8pm. That way you're more full come night time and aren't tempted to binge and ruin your cals for the day.
