Hey everyone. I just need to get some feedback on this, as I'm still deciding what I want to do in my next off-season.
I'm a teen girl. Here are my stats as of right now:
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 124 lbs.
(Note: all my lifts are done for reps, not 1RMs. I'm pretty sure these #'s would be higher if they were 1RM's.)
Deadlift = 225 lbs.
Squat = 195 lbs.
Bench = 100 lbs. (yeah this is pretty weak, I really want to strengthen this, but my chest is my weak point)
I'm doing a figure competition this upcoming June, and I'm pretty torn between doing PLing, and Figure. I love both, but I'm not really sure that I can excel in both. What are your guys' opinions?
Any honest feedback would be wonderful! Thanks so much in advance.
P.S. Yeah, I added a "serious" tag....you know....for emphasis

^^^She does figure. You can do both. You'll just have to sacrifice some strength when doing a show and all that.Repay no evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. - Romans 12:17

Hey, thanks for that.
I guess I'd just have to decide when to do what if I ever wanted to start competing in PLing at any point. I've never trained for it, so my lifts aren't really impressive or anything. But just over the last 6 months or so I've been really interested in PLing/OLing and have been really thinking about training for it.^_^

As has already been said and will be said ad infinum, if you wanna see how you'll do, go compete. Chances are good you'd be competing against yourself, but those are respectable numbers (if they're real - a calculated max does not a 1RM make).

Olympic lifting is awesome, but you would really need a coach for that.
Go for PL'ing no disrespect but figure never seemed like much of well, anything and your numbers aren't bad, nice dead.Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

Go for it by training partners little sister is 15 and has very similar numbers/stats to you and she usually comes in pretty close to the top. The last competition she did was by age, not weight so she got stomped by some Behemoth that should have been put with the boys.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."~Thomas Jefferson

Thanks - those aren't my 1RM's though, like I said.

Thanks for that
I'd love to find a PLing training partner somewhere in my area. Guess I just have to start looking around a bit.^_^
