    Here we go again

This time last year, I attempted to prepare for an amatuer bodybuilding competition for May and in the end it clearly wasn't enough time as I learned. I am now debating trying one for the end of late summer so it would give me a good 6-7 months which I believe should be enough time.

Right now I'm 5'11" and about 207 but don't currently have any pics at the moment. Lets just say I have work to do.

I eat about 1800-2000 calories a day right now including
    40-60 grams of fat
    1900-2500 mg sodium
    160-200 carbs
    150-180 protein

I know the diet could be stronger but what do you guys think of it?

Also, would you think September would be a good target date?

I think you're pretty low on cals for a show in Sept. You're only 207 at 5'11 ... why cutting so much right now?
Stay natural and learn to control your own hormones

Well I was just starting to try to lose weight but now that I'm considering the competition, I guess I should try to increase as much muscle mass as I can within the timeframe.

How many cals do you think?

that is an absolutely tiny amount of calories for a 200+lb bodybuilder....how much were you eating to get yourself up to 207? did you count cals at all?

Should be more around 2500 cals. Id up the protein to the upper 200s and carbs mid 200s. Im no expert but thats a little closer where u should be I think.

I've been over 200 pounds for like 8 years now. I've been eating pretty decent but realize my stomach growing so that was it for me. Started to diet to drop and then thought about trying a show again.

The goal is to do a 185 show so I'm probably gonna increase my protein to 300 grams per day for the time being and not focus on calories as much as I should lifting/cardio.

You think 3000 is a good number for now?
