    Barbell bench vs Dumbell?

Okay so i know a guy who can bench 225x12 on the barbell bench
    but only 80lx10 with dumbells

but i can do the opposite,
i do about 95x10 on the dumbell but only 225x3 on the barbell

    whats up with that?
how do i increase my barbell?

Thread of the title makes it seem like you are going to ask which is better =p.

Best way to increase your barbell is do more barbell with correct form.

I'd suggest dips or board presses. Also make sure you work your front delts and triceps as well because they factor in when it comes to bench press.

this is good advice, I started doing body weight dips recently until failure x3 sets after my workouts and my bench press and tricep strength has gone up considerably.
