    Question about deadlifting and HIIT cardio

    I'm flat footed and every time I squat or deadlift, I get major pain in my lower back and knees. Are there any ways to prevent this? I always wear knee supports and a belt to take off the stress but when I take off the belt, the pain comes back.

    What exactly is HIIT cardio? I don't really understand how it is performed. Do I run for 1 minute, walk 1 minute and repeat? And is 15-20 minutes of HIIT every good for cutting some fat?
