Unstoppable!
how many g's of protein are you taking in?
I know the rule about eating protein based on lean body mass, but I truly have NO IDEA what my body fat/lean mass is, so I'm starting to wonder if maybe I'm not getting enough protein!
How much protein do you guys all eat?

You should be consuming 1gram of protein for every pound you weight...
so if you weight at 150lbs, you should be consuming 150grams of protein.

See I've heard that too...but it seems the majority vote is at LEAST 1-1.5 g per LBM, not TBM...
I guess in all honesty I guess there's not a huge difference between the two. I'm just curious to see what my fellow chica's are consuming.

well in all honesty...it depends what you want to do for youself, if you want to put on lean muscle and tone up i would do 1lb per TMB, but if you want to cut up abit and lean out LBM. also depends on your lifestyle and training miss

No door is safe.
I get in 160-200g/day. It adds up pretty quickly with the sort of things I like to eat.

Figured it out!
This morning when I woke up I was 146lbs, im 5'3" and I take in 135-140g protein a day. I always eat the same for breakfast, lunch, and snack. Dinner changes, I always aim to hit my protein macro for the day, carbs and fats I try and get with in +/- 8g

Badass In Training
There are a bunch of different formulas, 1g/lb and 1.6-1.8g/kg are both common, and because of the difference between lbs and kgs they aren't that different.
I'm around 142 right now, and I'm in the mid 130s.

Usually 150-200 grams per day, but my caloric intake is quite high at 2500 so I still get plenty of carbs and fats even with such a high intake of protein.
Not sure what my LBW is, but my protein intake definitely exceeds my TBW.
Moving up from skinny to fit---and I've gained 20 lbs in the process. Most importantly, I'm actually okay with that :).

I get in about 100g a day, but I way around 120lbs. So I should up my intake? It could be more or even less, I am not 100% sure on the nutrition facts of my foods.

1 - 1.5 and max of 2g of protein per pound of body weight. It's not necessary to exceed 2g, as it wont all be utilized.
I eat between 150 - 200g even though I don't do weights at the moment. It helps keep me satiated and keep my muscle from wittling away Plus, I'm just a natural carnivore.

Worth it
130 grams to 200 grams seems to be the consensus. There is huge varience in goals, weight and activity level and of course if you actually like eating that much protein. I try to aim for 150 to 170g and never go below 100.

creatine a masterpiece
workout days: 125 (this is counting only protein sources and not incidental grams of protein from fats or carbs)
off days: 180

Zombieland Rule 1: Cardio
I aim for at least 130g but have been known to go up to 180g. I don't do shakes unless I have to bc of missed meals. I was eating very little protein before last August (survived on cereal and coke) so 130g still seems like a lot some days.
GOAL: I want to be more, do more, live more.

Benching freight trains
If I'm tracking/eyeballing my calories and macros correctly, I'm getting in anywhere from 120 minimum - 200+. I'm currently bulking on 2500 calories which explains why I'm taking in that much protein (while still consuming adequate carbs and fats).

Yeah! I don't know what you're eating, but I lowered my carbs and fat to make room for protein. I have a lot of liquid egg whites. I have maybe one or two scoops of protein powder a day post-workout, but mostly I get it from natural foods.
What's your diet like?

My diet isnt to wonderful, for breakfast I usually have and egg on an English muffin with turkey sausage, then I usually goto the gym and come back and have a protein shake, then usually a salad or something light for a snack, then 2 oz of turkey on a wheat roll and then another light snack and then chicken for dinner... I think maybe I need to drink 2 shakes a day...

No need! there's room for more protein from natural sources too. If I were you, I'd add protein to my salad (sliced grilled chicken breast? Hardboiled egg whites? tofu? lean steak?) maybe have more egg whites in your breakfast too?
There's a lot you can do with that! I sneak egg whites into my oatmeal in the am, I have sliced tofu in my salad at lunch, I eat fat free or reduced fat cheese (check out how much protein it has!), I make protein brownies sometimes, I eat cottage cheese before bed, i have greek yogurt sometimes for a snack. All these are big protein sources!

I will have to try that, I know sometimes I will put tuna in my salad, but I read somewhere it isnt good to eat to much tuna because of the mercury... not sure how true that is though

It does have some mercury, but 1 can a day is safe (I heard) but don't really take it from me... I like canned salmon anyway!
