So we've been in Iraq for 8 years, and Afghanistan for 10..., and what good has come for the American people?
Bin Laden's death? Lol ok
Inflation and price going up ? Hell yeah, money isn't what it is worth because of increased spending and increased printing of money.
Iraqi and Afghani democracy? Really? What gives you the right to impose governments for other countries.
Defense contractors and their Washington buddies? Made big bucks and laughed all the way to the bank.
Cliffs: The population is gullible and blindly patriotic.

Americans made a huge mistake by supporting the war on terror.

At this point.. it's out of our hands whether we support it or not.

dude, why are you being realistic? this is an idealistic thread where we talk about how things SHOULD BE and refuse to address how things are.
that way we can feel good about ourselves by endlessly criticizing EVERYTHING that happens, without ever having to suggest what SHOULD be done.
that's how postmodernists roll. talk **** about everything, never have anything positive or constructive to say!
herp derp yeah OP, 'Murica is evilz and run by corporations! herp derp

Um Wut?
Inflation has been low & stagnant (and frequently negative) for a decade.
http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CUUR0..._view=pct_1mth
Federal spending has been outrageous - but only a small portion of that was due to Iraq & Afghanistan. ($1.4 Trillion for those wars during the past 11 years, compared to $32 Billion total Federal spending - 4.4%)

And when faced with a statement you can't refute, just turn around and try to change the subject
Patriot Act: Yes
NDAA: Not so sure (although I don't fall for the hysterical claims that lied about what the bill actually said) I'm more opposed to policy issues being pushed into budget legislation.
Now can we get back to the OP's actual topic and statements?
