When I watched it I understood that they were talking about separate entities and that the "Hard Bargain" and "Similar Offers" they paraphrased was just a way of alluding to how MiB and Jacob use a similar methodology to prove their points.

A thought that crossed my mind in the course of this episode and I'm sort of building my own psychographic profile of MiB... And then How Claire is a Mirror of Rousseau...
I'm beginning to think that he manipulated Ben into taking Alex from Rouseau... So he could more easily manipulate Rouseau into picking off the Others... Then with his best Pawn gone... He pulls a similar move with Claire to take that same spot in his game.
And that Kate taking Aaron was just playing the same role as Ben taking Alex.

I'm really glad we got all those answers the preview promised us.
I liked the episode though, Sayid was a badass. My favorite part was when after hearing Dogen's sob story, he still just drowns him, then slits the other guys throat.
