This raises the question,
How long is it ok to have protein mixed before drinking? Theoretically could you make a gallon-worth of protein shake and keep it in the fridge to disperse accordingly?

I premix 2QTs, enough for 2 days and leave it in the fridge. Wife was getting sick of me using all the glasses in the house for protein shakes. Got a 2QT container, premix everything and drink it straight outta the container.
Some of it does settle at the bottle after 4-5 hours but just shake it back up and you are good. There was once I let it go an extra day and it started to not taste as strong. So I would say 48hrs max in the fridge.

I freeze soymilk into cubes and mix my shakes in the AM with half liquid soymilk, half frozen soymilk. By the time I drink it a few hours later, the cubes are mostly melted and the whole thing is delightfully cold.
