    question about calories on workout days

    whats up guys

    it is my first time cutting, and i can't find an answer to this question

    I have my diet planned out 2750 calories(500 calorie defecit), and i was wondering if i should up the calories on workout days

    no, i'd stay right there, most calculations of your maintenance will also factor in activity level

    where/how did you arrive at your intake? it may take a few weeks of trial in error to pinpoint what your true maintenance is. I'd start at that intake for a week, coupled with training etc, and only weigh in once per week.

    ex: I lift 5 days/wk, estimate maintenance at 3200 cals/day, cut with 2400-2500 cals/day

    my maintenance is about 2,889 calories when i am sedentary, and id be going on a 500 calorie deficit, but when i workout if i do the 2500 calorie id be on a 1000 calorie deficit on workout days

    Varying your calories is a good idea. Remember, its not about a daily number, but a daily average over the course of time. If you are going to expend more energy, eat more on those days.
