I absolutely hate training these my biggest problem when doing these on a standing machine is my feet start to slide. I like the seated calve machine and 1 legged calve raises. But feet still slide. Does this happen to everyone?

My feet sometimes slip but not often. I've since switched to doing calves on the inverted leg press machine (safety latch on). Plus, I don't get those nasty red marks on my shoulders anymore.
