    How often do you squat?

How many times per week should I be doing squats if I want to build muscle mass?

I do it twice a week, because I like to allow at least 2 full days of rest before I hit legs again- so I work them every third or fourth day. But some people advocate that 48 hrs is all you need before you work the same muscle group, which would give you 3 times a week.

Twice a week is good. 1x a week is too low, and 3x a week will lead to overtraining. Start with 2x a week and take it from there.

What's the difference between back squat and front squat? Which muscles are worked more with the front squat?

I squat 3x a week, but I'm not seeking hypertrophy. What's your overall routine. And to me, front squats hit your quads more.

Depends on how fast you heal on up and how hard you are pushing yourself. Lately I have been going crazy on leg day and cant hit them again for another 4-5 days. If you feel up for it, just go and head hit them again.

I squat once a week, 3 x 8 currently, nice and heavy. Stop right before failing (or increase weight on progressive sets) currently use 290lbs
Followed by 3 sets of lunges, (3 x 8) with nice heavy DB's, use 62.5lbs currently
Since I am not flex enough to go ATG on squats, I usually do a set or 3 of weighted sissy squats. Plate of 25lbs on the chest.

My quads are dead after this and I take a week to recover. My strength is not increasing really really fast, but it is going up steady. So is the size.

I am thinking of squatting twice a week, but need to wait till after my keto cycle.

I squat three times a week (on SS). It depends on what kind of program you want to do, and what stage you're at in the game.

    3 times.
Have been on SS since june 09, and now have moved on to intermediate programming.
Now I have a light, medium, and heavy day, so overtraining is not an issue.

Most likely bad form, if you decide to get back into them.

I'm envious. As of late, I'll hit it up 4-5x in a day, then go 4-5 days without. My rear is not in a happy place.

Once a week. But I make sure those 5 sets of squats count

My legs blew up squatting heavy twice a week and doing lighter sets once a week. Try that
