    Ever have days when you just don't feel the pump?

    I had that today. Like a quarter way through my workout and I just wasn't feelin' it. It's kinda discouraging. Today just wasn't my day... Does this mean I shouldn't expect gains? Or is it something that not everybody necessarily gets, like sore muscles for example?

    Pump doesn't build muscle. You get a pump usually by doing high reps. You can get gains without pump.

    Hmm... Well I was doing the same weight,reps, and sets as usual today. Same form and everything also. Maybe it could be muscle memory? Or I simply should move up to heavier weight?

    You don't know much about lifting do you. Every time you= lift you should add more weight or more reps. You don't get much stronger if you only bench 135 by 8 reps for the rest of your life.

    You probably just didn't eat well enough today, have some carbs preworkout (pasta, oats, rice) and you should definitely have some pumps.
