The moment has arrived. This morning, I took my first plunge into the world of 1-T and Phyto-Test. I will be running a six-week cycle of transdermal 1-T and an oral suspension of Phyto-Test. I will attempt to do my best at a log, but for the sake of my busy schedule, it may not be as detailed as I'd like. But I'm driven to work out harder than I ever have in the next six weeks.
A few things about me as far as stats go.
I'm 5'8 inches tall and weigh in at 164. I've been consistently training for about a year. The first four months I was circuit training with a set of Perfect Pushups, a chin-up bar and ab straps. I was doing leg routines only in the gym and consistently doing the body-weight exercises for that period of time. I eventually got to the point where I was wearing a 22 pound vest while doing inverted Perfect Pushups followed by chinups/pullups and some dumbbell work.
That was my "priming period." And believe it or not, it took me from a weight of 145 to around 158. I was also eating pretty substantially.
I then switched over to the gym and started slinging around conventional weight training routines.
I have a 40-degree scoliosis curve, which limits my ability to do certain exercises safely, or at least I give pause before considering them. I prefer not to dead lift for fear of messing up my back. I also tread lightly when squatting. I prefer to do dumbbell squats. You get much better muscle synergy and use of your stablizers in that case though, IMHO.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE PRODUCTS:
1-T
The pump is amazing. It cleanly dispenses just the right dose and doesn't make a mess.
The scent of the topical preparation is citric, with a slight alcoholic overtone. It's certainly not overbearing. The lotion is a pleasant film, not too thick and not too thin.
I did find five pumps to be a bit painstaking to rub all the way in, and to disperse over a wide enough area. I have to avoid certain parts of my upper shoulders and back because, for some reason, I'm plagued with terrible back acne. I started scrubbing last week with a benzoyl peroxide soap and it seems to be helping substantially with that.
Afterward, I got a nice vascular feeling which overtook my arms and chest muscles. Part of it may have been psychological, but I've always gotten incredible muscle pumps without any supplementation. I get better pumps naturally than most guys who take an NO product. I guess that's a good thing.
PHYTO-TESTOSTERONE LIQUID SUSPENSION
I bought these for $34.95 each in a closeout. Call me old fashioned, I'm of the belief that an oral suspension has more bioavailability than a pill, so when I found this product still in stock, I jumped all over it.
Upon cracking the bottle open, I immediately caught the essence of maple syrup. But already knowing that Fenugreek has the tendency to smell that way, I wasn't surprised.
I wish I could say it tasted like maple syrup. I likened it to a suspension of echinacea and goldenseal than I once tried -- bitter, floral and hitting the gut like a shot of whiskey. I suspect that had to do with the glycerol and ethyl alcohol suspension.
I am going to chill it in the refrigerator and hopefully it will minimize the shock factor.
I waited 15 minutes and mixed myself an Iso-Mass Gainer Shake with whey protein isolate and Kre-Alkalyn. This is a great gainer that's high in calories, low in sugar and has a very appealing nutritional profile.
I added two teaspoons of Smart Balance natural peanut butter with omega-3s and a half-cup of oats, for a total of about 1,300 calories.
I'll be heading to the gym at about 4 p.m. today. I will try to be diligent enough to write a log when I get back.
I've always been the small guy. But I've been changing that this past year. I hope my cycle, training and nutrition carries me far. As noted, I was 145 at the time I started training and I'm 164 currently, without any PHs.
My goal is to finish the cycle/bulk at 175.

DAY 1 Training
Today was back and bicep day. I have the fortune of working out at the Kenyon College Athletic Center, a $70 million (yes, I said 70 million dollar) facility like no other in the country.
MINDSET
I have to admit, the thought of the 1-T and the Phyto-Test was definitely a motivator today. I find it biologically unlikely that my first day's dose really had any physical bearing on my workout.
I took some Black Powder that I had gotten for free 30 minutes pre-workout, along with a single dose of NOW BCAAs. I walked into the gym feeling incredibly motivated and pumped.
The place was pretty well elbow to elbow with student athletes training. That just made me want to work that much harder.
All things in perspective, I reminded myself not to go cowboy and do something stupid. I was determined to get a thorough and full workout without injury.
TRAINING
I decided on bent over dumbbell rows first.
25x12, 25x10, 30x8, 35x8
One armed dumbbell rows

Lat pulldown

POST WORKOUT THOUGHTS
I walked out of the gym feeling a sense of accomplishment, but still could have probably stayed and kept on hammering. But again, all things in perspective. My goal is to be thorough, thus getting maximum impact out of doing full exercises without half assing anything.
As I sit here almost two hours later, I feel like I could go back and do it all again. I don't know if that's placebo or if the 1-T/Phyto-Test is just giving me some extra edge.
I went home to immediately take my second day's serving of Phyto-Test liquid suspension. I had chilled it in the fridge all day and it was much easier to stomach cold.
Fifteen minutes thereafter, I enjoyed an Iso-Mass Gainer shake with two tablespoons of natty Smart Balance Peanut Butter with omega-3s.
I can already feel the Phyto-test increasing my appetite. Normally the gainer shakes fill me up for hours, often with an overloaded feeling. Truthfully, I could probably eat dinner already.
The appetite factor, or lack thereof, has been a huge roadblock in my bulking plan for a longtime. Rumor has it the Testofen and methoxy in the Phyto-Test helps promote hunger, and I have to say I believe it.
Tomorrow is leg day. I'll do my best to report in at that time.

DAY 2
INITIAL THOUGHTS
I had kind of a hard time falling asleep last night. I used to be able to sleep very soundly at the drop of a hat, but since getting into shape over the past year, I?ve had mild to moderate difficulty in getting tired at bedtime.
I slept eight hours and woke up this morning fairly energized.
Application of the topical 1-T is kind of a daunting task, to be honest. Rubbing it in seems like it takes forever. And it does leave a greasiness behind afterward. But hey, if it works, I?m not complaining. Although, thinking it one step further, I will most likely buy the liquid suspension in the future.
I was astounded that my level of soreness from yesterday?s workout was not nearly as severe as I would have predicted, given the volume of work I put into it.
It should also be noted that my libido this morning was in full force and I have felt it all day today.
PHYTO-TEST LIQUID
I took my first dose about 20 minutes before consuming an Iso-Mass shake spiked with a half-cup of oats and two tablespoons of natty peanut butter.
Off to work I went.
TRAINING
I gave myself a shot of Black Powder and BCAAs about 30 minutes before heading to the gym. Surprisingly, I didn?t feel all that motivated ? that is, until I got into the gym and started slinging around the weight. At that point, it was like someone flipped a switch.
Today was leg and shoulder day. As noted before, I have a 40-degree scoliosis curve in my back, so I shy away from dead lifts and barbell squats with extreme amounts of weight. That may be limiting to me, but hey, having an uninjured back is more important to me than being a cowboy.
My routine was as follows:

Unfortunately, as a consequence of my scoliosis curve, my shoulders pop and click, making this exercise not much fun to do. I need to have my chiropractor set them again, which minimizes this issue.

STANDING CALF RAISES (with 40 pound dumbbells)

I left the gym fairly drenched in sweat and feeling like I?d gotten somewhere. I felt like I could have done more shoulder work, but with band rehearsal tonight, I didn?t want to overdo it and not be overly fatigued in my upper limbs.
I went home to enjoy my second dose of Phyto-Testosterone liquid and an Iso-Mass Gainer shake.

DAY 3 - OFF DAY
Today will be a rest day for me, which works out well because I have plans to spend time with my sons.
I caught about eight hours of sleep last night and my sleep quality was good. Libido this morning still felt like it was in overdrive.
I took my Phyto-Test and Iso-Mass Gainer following my shower and application of 1-T.
So far, I feel no ill consequence as a result of cycling the 1-T. There are no lethargy issues, no aggression issues and no negative or adverse impact on libido. In fact, I feel pretty darn good all the way around. Although I cannot say I'm feeling unusually jacked as a result of it either.
I am going to try to do a shirtless photograph later, and need to get a body composition analysis for everyone. If I get time later, I will also journal about my eating habits.
As I stated in my opening post, anyone who has any suggestions for me, please by all means make them. I respect that while I've been "training around" for the last few years, it was only about a year ago that I got serious and buckled down on conventional weightlifting.
For a long time I lifted low weight and high reps. I'm increasing my tolerances and attempting to build mass.
I'm never too proud or too stubborn to listen to those who know better.
