Weird lump in calf...What could it be??

On Saturday I went to the park to kick a soccer ball around. I did this for about an hour and I remember my ankles feeling extremely weak when I was finished. Then on Sunday, I woke up with my right ankle feeling very weak, but I still went out to play my soccer match. Ten minutes into it and my legs were in excruciating pain, my whole shin felt as if it was going to break apart. I got out, and noticed that there was a lump on my right calf. I don't think that was ever there before. What could it be?? Looked it up on google, and cancer and DVT where some of the first things to pop up. I hope its just an injury. Today I woke up feeling a little better but my leg still hurts, and I could only see the lump when I flex my calf. Any idea???

Don't recommend a doctor, I no longer have health insurance.

I have a lump on the bottom inside of my left calf. It never hurt like yours. I was getting treatment for a rolled ankle and they sent me for x-rays. Turns out i tore my calf and never knew it. Its just extra tissue that has built up. It also can only be seen when I flex my calf.

The lump is on my right calf, I only discovered it or started feeling it after I had injured my ankle and began forcing it.

Real funny. I know you guys cant diagnose me, but I was just curious to know if anyone had anything similar, and if they had any idea on what it could be.

Nah, I know how shin splits feel. This feels a bit different. Pain is mostly concentrated where the small lump is.

It could just be an inflamed calf muscle from you forcing yourself on a hurt ankle. Inflamed tendons maybe?

Best bet would be to lay off the heavy work and make sure u ice it

sounds like a little tear to me, is it like the size of marble or smaller?
I highly doubt it DVT, you would have extreme cramping pain, have you had any longamounts of stasis (like a 10 hr flight) if no then prob not DVT in someone your age.
cancer? pretty strange to get cancer and a tumor the same day you hurt your ankle... so nope.

doubtful its a DVT. is there any bruising? how big is the lump? is it tender (does it hurt to touch it)? is it hard and meaty or is it pretty soft? hows your range of motion?
